One more turn should do it!

Kent, Ohio

« on: November 19, 2016, 05:19:22 AM »

Been some really great weather here in NE Ohio for the last few weeks. Friday (yesterday) was the topper, 74* and sunshine, Nov. 18  Shocked !
Got home at 4:15 and was able to put about 30 miles on the Valk. Gets close enough to dark @ 5:30 and the deer are in full rut around here or so it seems. I'm no authority but, too many and I don't want to tangle with them.
I got hurt at work a short while back (knee). I get around ok but, it is really painful to have the knee bent for extended periods of time (up on the foot peg). Last night and as I type, still feeling that short ride. Man oh man was it worth it! I just love Fall weather riding even when it gets cold. Love the sights and the smells of Autumn  Smiley !
Reality check, as I type 40*, windy and rainy true November weather  Angry ! I usually put the Valk away on Veterans Day. I missed that. Guess it'll be Thansgiving  Cry. Amazing what one hour or so on a motorcycle will do for your / my soul.

Wind therapy. I am riding with a painful hip, but I ride as long as I can stand it.

Glad it was good for you Pais.  Here in SW Ohio it was a bit warmer, may have been a record for date.  Looked like I would be done by 2pm and spend rest of day on the Valk.  Then the Honda man call ith again.  Shucks and drats my work continued.  Right now in low 30s and snowing and the wind Gods from the Arctic are doing battle with the Wind Gods from the Gulf.  This goes on far to much in Ohio  this time of year.  I always root for the Gulf Wind Gods.  All in all it has been a great fall and a good amount of miles put on.  Oh well winter projects await and hope for early spring.

It hit 60* today and i managed to burn a tank of gas!  Headed to the Berkshires and did some favorite roads.
I hear you guys about the pain, my foot is way better and doesn't hurt to hold the bike up anymore. The hip is just getting worse. I take an oxy before I leave, then every 4 hours and it's still hurting while riding. BUT it's time in the wind, and I'm thankful for that!

Glad to hear you're headed in the right direction....

I've been riding to work every day for the last couple of weeks. it's been great, not too bad going home at midnight....there's a heavy mist right now, rain isn't supposed to start til 3am.... Sad Sad

Yeah, I figure snow isn't far off so I better get some riding in while I can.
