One time many years ago when I was much younger I kept a dictionary and a thesaurus on my desk.  I was working for a manager who was not technical in his background.

One day my thesaurus was missing from my desk.  I expressed my concern to my boss and his reply was, "The source?"

"Thesaurus."

"The source?"

"Thesaurus."

He fired me about a year after that.  After I was gone for a couple of years he was fired himself.  It was actually to my benefit to be out of that environment.

No. He fired me over a year later because I talked ugly to someone who unreasonably woke me up and asked for my help.  I think he was looking for a reason.  I don't think he was comfortable with me on his staff.

I was at home.  On my job I have spent a lot of time on call for technical support.  It used to aggravate me when people would call for me to do something they should've been able to do for themselves.  I've aged and mellowed.  You wouldn't have like me when I was in my prime.
