On two occasions, on my end there has been threads which contained the same words in the title, have been combined into one thread.  It gives the appearance of stepping on someone's others thread. Is it just in my view, or is everyone seeing the same as I am? Why do these threads combine??  Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Not just the subject name, but the whole threads combine, like MARS and Going to Mars. But your subject is different.

Admin combines two threads sometimes when they are about the same subject. No need having two threads on the same subject.

What Bighead said.  There is a limited amount of space on the first page.  Every new thread pushes something off at the bottom.  Most of our members don't look past the first two pages.

I guess that makes sense on the most part, in this case the subject content is different points from each other, one is about a TV series and the other is about priorities of public funds, basically.
Another thing is, it gives people the impression someone is hijacking another's thread. I have my opinions, but I don't intentionally try to disrespect someone. Thanks I did know what the deal was with this, this is the second time it happened to me.

Keep in mind that this is done at a minimum on this board.  I'm on a few other boards where this is very common.

Also, some boards will actually lock threads or move them to an archive when to much is going on (hijacking or arguments and such).  Again, that is at a minimum on this board.

Of course, our members tend to be a little more... "Adult"... so locking threads is rarely needed.   Grin
