I bid $10.00 for this Daymaker light listed on eBay as being compatible with a Valkyrie. Won it for $9.98 but didn't look very closely before bidding.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/172413738639

It's 6.5" but on closer exam, looks like it comes in its own bucket which I guess would ebable bolting somewhere on a Valk.

Any chance this bulb would work with the adapter ring recently made available by a forum member? The 10.00 is the good part, the 25.00 shipping is the bad. I may be better off to reject it.

Any thoughts?

I don't have experience, just an opinion  Smiley ...

I'd avoid el-cheapo LED like I'd avoid cheap Lithium batteries.

Good LED is so good...

I pit a true day maker on my standard and it is the 7" that fits the adapter.
$99 free shipping from Scoot lights. Some other vendors sell the same light for 3x as much. Don't know what quality or anything else of the bulb you bought but don't think it will work with the adapter at all.
You bid and won so I would pay for it and find another use for it.

That's what I'll do. Can put it on a 3 wheeler at the farm as it comes with a bucket. I don't want anything negative of my eBay record.

Thanks for the Scoots rec. I've been looking at the lights for a while & prices are all over the board.

Thanks.

BH, how do you like the daymaker from scootworks? Is the night time beam pattern good enough?

I too bought Josh's adapter but havent yet bought my light. Reading various blogs on the LED lights the biggest complaint was the sharpness of the beam left dark areas when cornering. Spots are supposed to help this. Do you experience this with your light?

Haven't ridden a bunch at night with it yet but I will say it is much better than the OEM.

my bike is stock with the day makers and yes when you lean around a corner it gets dark on the road area but lights up the ditches just fine so you can see where not to go...but going straight is great..
