Well the company has left and we have SO MUCH dessert left over

Pumpkin flan, Pumpkin chocolate pie, chocolate banana cupcakes, bunt cakes, mandel bread, fruit and  then so much food

Before the hungry throng could eat though I give a toast as the host and we all went around the table saying what we individually are thankful for

I said I was thankful that I am a free man in a free country free to practice my religion, or not and thankful for my wife, mother, children and Alana's fiance and his family also in attendance. I miss my brother as for the 1st time in 60 yrs he is not here but in california with his girlfriend. Got a call from him that his doberman ate part of the turkey lol  that got a big laugh as it served him right for missing the family.

It was good to hear what the other 20 people had to be thankful for and perhaps some of you would like this custom for next Thanksgiving

I am also thankful for this vrcc family and hope you all had a good day with family or friends.

Great post Evan.

You said all I could, so I won't repeat.

But also, I'm thankful I get 2 Thanksgivings, today with friends and tomorrow with family. Smiley

Nice post Evan  cooldude I know it's very easy for me to get caught up in the daily grind of life. Thinking about work, thinking about ailments, thinking about things people have done we don't agree with. It's good to reflect a little about how good my life really is.
I am thankful I found Brenda and have made a great life with her. I am thankful my grandson is such a kind, thoughtful, smart young man of 10 years old. I am thankful my granddaughter's diabetes has not put her in the hospital this year. I'm thankful I was born in the greatest country on earth.

I can't really disagree with any firm argument. I'm proud of both countries and their citizens.  cooldude (just a tad more for mine)  Smiley
