43 days with no rain and it's as dry as the Mojave here in north Georgia.
Burn ban, hose pipe ban, no home bike or car washing.

Of the 120 counties in Kentucky, 80+ are in Burn Ban areas, some are in severe drought conditions. At this point, almost any kind of moisture would be welcomed. While I hate snow, I'll take some now if you would like to send some our way.

Woo-Hoo. That storm is currently watering my lawn and everyone else's here bouts. I PRAY it arrives in yer neck of the woods to help erase some of your water shortage. Lived in a drought area once upon a time. I feel your pain. RIDE SAFE.

High winds gusting to 50 mph and fires in the Smokies, embers flying for miles. Entire city of Gatlinburg mandatory evacuation and fires approaching Pigeon forge. Rains coming, too little, too late I fear. Very difficult to fight these fires in this very steep, very rugged terrain. Prayers for the Fire fighters.

Started a light rain here about 3:00 PM, wind started blowing erratically, light to gusting winds. The rain was very cold. Glad to have it but, wish it had been here a few weeks ago.
Saw the videos of Pigeon Forge, praying for those folks.

Yahoo! It's RAINING! Oh, crap! I'm stuck inside with a four month old wet puppy... Puppies aside, it's crazy what's happening up at Gatlinburg... they got some high winds (like 60-80 mph gusts) as the storm came on, it is the first time I know of that these fires in our area have gone into a town... -Mike
