Gentlemen,

I'm going to order a PC-8 from Eastern Beaver in the next few days. He has quite a few options as to lead length and configuration. His basic is 24" POS, 6" less for NEG.

You guys that have one, did that work alright for you, or would you have done anything differently?

I assume the best mount is in the battery compartment.....

Thanks,

Bob

Bob, I've ordered wiring for my Vstrom in the past from Eastern Beaver and have been completely satisfied with it.  Good person to deal with.

I've heard that from others here, his website is top notch and he gets great reviews.

He's big into those Vstroms...

I have one. Wiring gets tight but doable.
I left a "Service Loop" when I wired mine meaning I left the wires long enough that I can loosen the velcro mount and lift it up and work on it easily.

I assume you mounted it on top of the battery?

Would you have gotten the longer leads had you known?

I have a Centech A2. It's located between the battery and CB. I like the looks of the beaver. I'm down to 1 available connection. 8 would be nice. You've got lots of room on your Tourer. I like mine tucked down in out of the way.
(Come to think of it, I've never seen a beaver I didn't like)

BALDO!!   Reach out to BobB on the board here for the correct information on the PC-8 placement
and the correct length of wires.

He's a retired Electrical Engineer from IBM and has this set up on his Valkyrie.

A GREAT guy to work with.

Mine is in the battery box where the tool kit would sit. Good product,no problems with putting it there. I cut out a small piece of the battery box in the corner to allow the extra wires in without pinching them.

I set it up on Jade with 2 switched and 6 unswitched - they have their own switching, don't need it. Didn't use the ground buss; had wired the circuits with their own grounds.  I used 10ga to feed the busses and pulled the juice off the master fuse (dogbone) which is right next to it. For the switched buss I used a std 40amp relay triggered by the accy wire.
