Although it was interesting, it's an exception because it is only one person. The way I see it in our country, the door should swing both ways, not one way as it has been establish in the present. I hope I am wrong, but I feel we have already been sold out, and we are totally screwed and just don't know it yet. People come in to our country and use our constitution against us and our Gov Rep support it. Non Americans come into our country and tell us what we can do, and if you haven't noticed or seen that yet, then I think that is sad. People just refused to see what is right under their noses, because they think it is someone else problem and it doesn't apply to them. You got to wake up now! Just my observation.

For those who hadn't the patience or inclination to view the video of and ex-muslim young woman there are a few important points.
"The call to violence and the justification for it are are explicitly stated in the sacred text of Islam."
She gently denounces the position of Progressives and Liberals on Islam. She does so from Harvard!
"We must say to muslims living in the west, 'If you wish to live in our societies, to share in their material benefits then you need to accept that our freedoms are not optional.'"
Excellent points that will unfortunately fall largely upon deaf ears.

You're welcome Oss. Contrary to what many liberals may think, I'm not a racist or Islamophobe. I pretty much dislike anyone who wants to kill me or take away my freedom or the things I have worked for, regardless of their race or religion. Once muslims quite trying to make us conform to their beliefs, I will accept them into this country through legal immigration. But, no preferential treatment, everyone should have equal opportunity for a chance to live in the greatest country in the world, regardless of race, religion, or origin. As long as you give the same respect for the rights of others, that you want for your own.

More Muslims need to speak out against the atrocities of Islam.
More Americans need to wake up and realize the threat that Islam presents to our freedoms and our way of life.
Not all Muslims are evil, but Islam is!

well said! ONLY met one Muslim once and once was enough for me. He be darn lucky he was not beaten to a pulp after work in the parking lot by about a dozen of us (or more). The HR dept. who hired him for 2-3 months of work is a total joke on what they get in at that place. His belief and thoughts and his words coming out of his mouth were something to behold indeed. Hard to believe he was allowed a job let alone step foot in America coming from Iraq/Iran area.

Try this on fer yuks and giggles. These "folks" that see no problem with radical mooslims most likely are the children or grand children of the "folks" that saw nuttin Wrong with the "struggle" of the north vietnamese "peasents"! Thinkin hanoi jane and her ilk. But that's like a hypothesis on my part! Where was the condemnation from the "peaceful mooslims" on 9/11?? Or any of the other atrocities that have been laid at their feet-Nay-boasted about PROUDLY by isis and the other RADICAL mooslim KILLERS. Her speaking out while being a good thing in the overall scheme IS rather microscopic in the larger sense. And islam ONLY sees her as a woman. RIDE SAFE.

Watched the video a couple times. She does point out some truths.
I would say that one of her pivotal points is that Islam is at the crossroads of Reformation and self-destruction.
I would disagree with that as, from my perspective, I do not see the crossroad of Reformation anywhere in sight. I do see Islam on the road to not only self-destruction but willing to destroy everything in the process.
Islam is in dire need of Reformation. But to achieve that would require a Reformation leader that would have the same, if not greater, status among the majority of Muslims as Muhammad himself. And such an effort would not be peaceful or pleasant. Though the conflict in Syria is not a Reformation effort, the results of an Islamic Reformation effort would be the same or worse than what we see there today only far more widespread.
So the road ahead will be the conflict between the cultures. Basically the Islamic culture against the rest of the world.

One thing I have thought to be true is that the Muslim women are the silent majority of that culture. The idea of keeping women in their place, living in fear and servitude, is the only way the crazy men can keep the terrorism on the move. It's been my opinion if the women can be brought into the light more and they eventually take a stand, the suicide bombings and terrorist activities will slow and eventually diminish, especially now well into this century. It's my belief these women do love their children just as our women love their children and I can't believe the Muslim women want to see their children dead.
