36*, windy, but snow in the forecast 3 times next week.
One last ride before the salt hits the roads.
Then fill it up, seafoam it and cover it for winter... Cry
Hoping for lots of snow this winter, sorry for those that don't want it, but working for the DPW, more snow = more riding & chrome $$$ for Craig...
Ride Safe,
Craig

white crap finally hit us this morning, finally.    3-4 inches today and hope NO more for the next 4 months.  Although we usually do not get tons of snow,  my neighbors always put a white flag on top of the 4-5 foot snowpile at the end of his driveway sometime in March when whinding down surrendering to mother nature.

I am so glad we do not have sidewalks to shovel in our entire subdivision having the streets really wide instead to walk on.  Sidewalks require shoveling otherwise might get a ticket. My just 50' x 20' wide driveway is totally mine and if do not want to shovel able to get by without doing it,  I can.    Although,  driving constantly on top of fresh snow packs it down making ice slicks as well, not being safe either.  I tried that last year not shoveling a few times and my 1/2 ton truck facing downhill (fairly angled up driveway), kept sliding down my driveway into the street finally stopping 6-7 feet into the road even when it was fully in park stopped sitting overnight.  I awakened the next morning to find my truck in the middle of the street, was puzzling, until the next few times parking it in same spot when I got out of the truck door once, the truck immediately started sliding backwards on me with me jumping back in the truck unable to do a darn thing about it until it stopped slidding in park stopping once again in the road.

Have not had a wind whipping 12-18 inch snowfall in decades though since we use to get yearly one big snowfall with high winds so when we opened the garage door it would be packed in snow 3-4 feet up the door unable to even walk out.  Sure hope it stays fairly light snow all winter long.  I lost one of my shoveling gigs with my elderly neighbor moving to Arizona full time,  but have a much more steep driveway up the street I do as well and she pays me very well up to 20 bucks per shoveling depending on snowfall.  Even a light 1-2 inch snowfall like we normally have she pays me 10 bucks for 20 minutes work.  Her driveway is so steep though that even a 1 inch snowfall she is unable to get up her driveway with a FWD car, needing 4wd and even in 4wd if icy out,  might not make it up is way too steep.

Craig,

Enjoy your ride and the day! I'll be heading out on the bike soon to complete my errands. Snow is forecast here over the next few day starting tonight. As far as your wish for a lot of snow this winter, try to keep it up your way. With my job I don't look forward to the ice and snow, it's not fun excavating underground tanks in that kind of weather.

Hope to ride with you soon.

Yep!  Only thing left to straighten out is the cb, now on too Penny.  She's a standard I picked up this year that has a few issues, but she runs and is all there.  I'm thinking bobber.

Hey Bill, good to hear Georgia is back on the road! (with no wood screws!)
Party was short...for me  Evil  ended up with another 40 miles on her, all put away till spring now. 1-3 inches coming tonite & tomorrow.
Don't look like we'll be riding on Christmas Eve day this year, but ya never know....

Stan, yeah that work does suck in the snow, send it up here.

Ride Safe All,
Craig

I managed to put just under 400 ticks on the I/S clock last week on the day it got into the mid 50's (I called the boss and said I was sick and since I am the boss I told myself to get better soon angel). Now both girls are in the stall awaiting their winter make-overs. This is a year that they won't get  winterized since the I/S is getting stripped to the frame and the tourer will get a serious clean up of the electrical system as well as inheriting the Cobra pipes that are now on the I/S and any fine tuning that will involve. I never understood the purpose of having a radio on a bike if you can't hear it over the pipes. Unless the weather really improves over the next week or so, it looks like my riding season may have ended with the 4 inches of white that fell today.
