First night Monday Dec. 26 ride into Meridian , Mississippi . This motel is located close to I-59 and I-20. Applebee's , Cracker Barrel and Buffalo Wild Wings are all in walking distance of this Days Inn so if you would like a adult beverage with supper you can do so without getting back on the bike... Total cost is $55.00 and they are aware this is a weather pending ride. Be sure to say " Gulf Coast Ride " when making reservations. Days Inn Meridian Address: 145 US-11, Meridian, MS 39301 Phone:(601) 483-3812 Dec .27-28-29 motel is below Dennis ( Troutdude ) got me the information on this one . You will need reservations for Tuesday 12-27 , Wednesday 12-28 and Thursday 12-29. We will do day rides out of Biloxi over into Louisiana with Dennis to show us some backroads and Cajun eating places along the swamp's . Cost is $60 and this motel is also aware this is a weather pending ride. Be sure to say " Gulf Coast Ride " when making reservations. Econo Lodge Biloxi Beach North Address: 1776 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39531 Phone: (228) 374-7644 Fingers crossed for decent weather we planned this same ride last year and the weather turned crap so we made the call to try again this year.... What kind of weather is normal for that time of the year because when I looked up the 10 day forecast it shows rain or showers for most days. I do not think that I would get there until the 2nd night since I will be leaving on the 26th and it is about 1200 miles.

1200 miles New York  Pretty sure we have riders from Ohio and Indiana that will be joining us as well . The weather is unpredictable and we'll just have to wait and see what the forecast guessers claim and make the call go or no go Christmas Eve.... As stated above we planned this ride last year and the weather would not cooperate. |

What kind of weather is normal for that time of the year.....
I live on the northern Gulf Coast/Panhandle of Florida. More often than not, it's usually cold and rainy/drizzling around here. Not always, just this time of year it's more common than not. It's also not uncommon for it to be 80 degrees on Christmas and New Years too...but that's rare. If you want warm and sunny, you gotta get a little further south....like southern Florida. |

I'm not sure of the numbers however I did talk with the motel in Meridian and the lady told me 10 rooms was rented for " The Gulf Coast Ride " . I've got 6 riders with me all sharing a room so that only counts for 3 rooms ... Guessing 18 to 20 bikes ... Not bad for a winter ride the day after Christmas.... See you Monday evening my friend |

Thanks to everyone who put in the miles to come ride the coast and come eat some seafood and (hamburgers LOL) It was nice to see a good size turnout and the the weather was good with just a drizzle every now and then. Hope everyone makes it home safe and we will see y'all soon.
