Thanks! Been out at my land most of the day having some much needed trigger therapy (The new Geissele trigger makes the Tavor a totally different gun! SO much fun!), just got home to a "SURPRISE WE LOVE YOU DADDY!" from a trio of 5 year olds jumping up and hugging me...

I'm a very blessed man...

Oh and happy Birthday coolsmiley

They have their own rifles, and have since before they were born, but they haven't passed my "Are you old enough and mature enough to shoot" test yet...

Every few months I take the stock off their rifles and hand them the stocks only, and see if they can follow simple instructions with them (Like "Don't point it at daddy!")... They're getting close, but not quite there yet...

Grin  I laugh, but I've had that problem with a couple adults too.

And right after I told them not to.  (And that's why you stand right behind them)

Happy Birthday, Serk!

I grew up with a Dad who thought along the same lines. At 10 yrs old I had a paper route and was encouraged to save half and I could spend half. Dad took me down to Montgomery Wards(in 1965) and I was allowed to by a bolt action .22 rifle. He taught me gun safety and watched me shoot it for a month or so, supervised, and after that, I was free to shoot it on my own. We had nothing but cornfield behind our house for 4 miles or so.

I used to have a blast plinking things with that gun.

Anyway, hope you had an awesome birthday!

Similiar upbringing. I already had a couple guns at 13. But i saved my paper route money for a motorcycle. Got up to $375 and my Dad kicked in the other $375 for a Suzuki 90. cooldude
