I've been feeling quite like the Grinch or Scrooge the last couple weeks but I brought the kids home from school yesterday and today it feels like things are better.

The 5 of us plus my son's girlfriend went out for dinner last night, we laughed and busted chops and had a great time.

Today Barbara went out shopping with Mike (the oldest) and Gina (our youngest) while Nicole is still asleep at noon while I write this. I'm sure the arguing and bickering between our 2 girls isn't too far off and my son will probably be doing what he usually does pretty good, to instigate trouble between the 2 girls and laugh the whole time but it's family so it's inevitable.

Mike and Nicole have been working their tails off at Delaware and are home until Feb 5th so it will be
nice to walk through the house and know their home even if only for a short time.

It's good to have them here. I know in poker there are better hands but today nothing beats a Full House.

our daughter is coming home for near 1 month next week from college.  She will be bored am sure to death vs. always busy, busy, busy doing something at college am sure.

She has been home before for 2-3 days and after 1-2 hours she is lost not knowing what to do.

Luckily,  the fighting when much younger between her and our 16 year old boy has been long gone and they get along VERY well the past 10 years or more 2 peas in a pod.

Enjoy the few weeks or more with them before they go away again..   Wink

    Mike,
Enjoy it, bask in it and make the most of it. To say it is fleeting is an understatement.
Entertained wife's side last night. Looking around at everybody, Father Time is boss hoss and it seems he's in a rush. The older I get the more sentimental I become.

We are visiting our grand daughter in Ft.Hood Tx. She is in the Air Force on an Army base. A first Lt. soon to get her captains bars. Her mother and sister is flying in tonight. I even stopped and brought old2soon along. No Valks , and Saturday , it was 82 and Sunday morning it was 22.
Back home it is about -12 and I hope it warms up before we leave here.
