You know ever since John McCain surfaced to the public, after seeing him talk.  I have always felt something off about him, like something out of sync. I don't think anything bad about him, I don't know what.  it's like he is not being sincere or something, can't put my finger on it.  Maybe I am just losing it, I think too much!

He was beaten and tortured as a POW in Vietnam.

I've just always figured that he has lingering effects from his injuries.

When running for president he said over and over again "the fundamentals of the economy are strong".

Just as the economy crashed.

Since then I've looked upon him as a bag full of hot air.

Maybe it's his way of voting to raid the Social Security piggy bank in the 1970's.  This is a list from 2012.  McCain may be a war hero but he voted to steal from the American people.

Being a captive absolutely doesn't make you a war hero.  Sometimes being stupid makes you be a captive.  He was smart enough though to use his experience to capture a cush job that made him rich and famous.  He claimed to be rep, but recently sided with the dems.  It is way past time for him to be put out to pasture and be replaced by someone with ethics.

McCain's time has been over since he lost in 08.  He was a lousy candidate then.  Arizona had a chance to primary him this year and it failed.  He always wants the spotlight on him.  He is deeply entrenched with the establishment cronies and absolutely despises Trump.  Look for him and Grahamnesty to be a big thorn in Trumps plans as they both do not want the status quo to go away.

I agree with most of what has been written about Mr McCain.

I too would like him replaced, but not with a hard charging committed democrat.

He still votes our way on most things, just not some important things (and business as usual is terrible).

Beating long-standing incumbents is never easy.

Agreed.   Just another reason for term limits in my opinion but, that's never gonna happen.

I personally don't like Mitch McConnell but, he there as long as he wants to stay.   His position as Majority Leader means he should be able to help KY.   IMO, that hasn't happened much.    But the power he holds in that position will ensure he stays there, very few in the Republican Party will challenge him and no one here that I know of wants him replaced with a left leaning Dem.
