I miss the Big Bands of the war years and a few years that followed. All the digitized stuff of today sounds good but can't hold a candle to being live just 20' or so away. Funny thing, I introduced my girls to the Big Band sound while they were growing up and they loved it, would even sing along with some of the artists of that period. They would even fuss over who got to jitterbug with dad, sometimes wore me out but was a blast. Miss those days, miss my gals.  Smiley

Great clip. All that great music combined with fantastic dancing and nobody had to grab their crotch once, imagine that. One part I really liked was how they filmed the dance routine and also got the shadows in the shot too, excellent cinematography.

Last night I watched the movie "Going my way" with Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald. I haven't watched it since I was a kid, I'm not sure if anyone remembers it, but it's a prelude to Bing's role in "Bells of St.Mary's". Well the point I was going for was the music in the movie was so real, not mix mastered the way it is today.

Thanks for posting the link, I liked it.
