One night circa 1995 I was in the parking lot of Lord Fletcher Inn, Rancho Mirage, CA ( right across the hedges of the new home of Pres. 0  when I heard this voice.  Said oh my gosh that is Zsa Gabor, just can not mistake that voice.  Then I heard another voice bellow out.  I knew right away that was Merve Griffin, guess they were there together.

The funniest thing was one night while watching Johnny Carson and Zsa Zsa was in the guest chair the whole time with a white persian cat on her lap.  A few minutes in and Zsa Zsa asks Johnny if he would like to pet her pussy.  Quick witted Johnny said I would love to if you would get that damn cat off your lap.  The audience blew up in laughter and I about rolled on the ground in laughter myself.

Last night I tried to find this clip.  Instead I found several sites including the useless Snopes that said this never happened and was an urban myth.  Why, because they could not find it. In other words if you did not see it and can not find it it did not happen.  Guess that makes life easier for some.   Well I saw it myself and have always remembered it.  A little snooping by myself found out on this youtube clip with Jane Fonda and Johnny ( about 1 minute ) that others saw it also including Jane's son.  Someone blogged that it was in the West coast feed ( I was in CA at that time ) and got edited out to the rest of the nation, and Zsa Zsa threatened to sue NBC.

I am curious if any others around here remember it also.
Oh and RIP daaaaling.

I remember seeing it. I don't think I saw it live though. Probably one of those highlight shows.

Others said they saw it in Best of Carson - however it was then removed.  Too bad if correct it was a classic.

A Johnny Carson moment that I do remember live. Was Ed Ames throwing his tomahawk at the outlined figure. Pretty funny for a juvenile that I was.  Smiley

yah, those old newlywed games I use to watch as a kid were very funny, not as much nowadays, too clean cut of questions and not as funny as responses.
