Unconfirmed reports the shooter was a Turkish cop...

Does appear the shooter was taken out pretty quickly...

Confirmed (I've seen the video of the shooting) first words out of his mouth after murdering the ambassador were "Allahu Akbar"... I don't know about ya'll, but I know hearing those words being yelled give me an overdose of warm fuzzies!

Let's not forget, Russia has aligned themselves with Assad and they have been very indiscriminate in their target selection. It comes as little surprise that someone would strike back in the best why they can. Syria another failure of Obama, remember the line? But I guess Russia "will cut it out" now!

I guess that's what I was asking, didn't know there was a difference.  That's the shot that started WW1?

Recently there was a poll about Putin on this forum.   It asked the reader's position on whether or not he was liked or not basically.

I had a hard time answering that poll because, I can't say I like him but, IMHO, he is a leader to be reckoned with.    He is sending a Russian investigation team to Turkey to help identify who the perpetuators were, who the people behind the act were.

Does anyone doubt there will be more people die due to the actions of a lone killer today?
Then, ask yourself how Obama and his crew react when an ambassador is killed.

While I don't like or support Putin, I have no doubt, he will take whatever steps are necessary to protect his interests and people.   Can't say that about Obama.

While the shooter was Muslim (as are most Turks, and everyone else over there), and while he yelled some Allah Akbar stuff, he also yelled about Aleppo and the people there.  He was a rookie policeman.  I would not be surprised to find out he had family killed in the bombing there, and the Russians support Assad and are not that careful with collateral damage.  (Turkey to Syria, is like North to South Carolina)

This was not a Muslim killing a Christian, it was a Muslim killing a Russian.

It certainly fits the bill for fanaticism,  but I think it's not the same as the guys running trucks over people in Europe.

Putin's claim of a NATO secret police plot seems ..... way out there.
