How stupid and out of touch can someone be? A man has just been elected by 50% of the voting population and she says, "Everyone is crying." Her statement is affirmed by many of her colleagues. How stupid and out of touch can people be?

Tears of anguish plus tears of joy equals everyone crying. I should have bought stock in a company that makes facial tissues.

It is pretty stupid. But just for the sake of accuracy it was 46.1%

If you take California out of the total, Donald Trump won the popular vote by 1.4 million. Hillary’s margin of victory in California was 4.3 million votes. Yup dam pesky facts about how and why the electoral system was set up. Knew it before the election known after the election.
Hillary’s support was so geographically narrow that she won a popular vote majority in only 13 states (plus DC), the fewest of any major-party candidate since Bob Dole, barely half as many as Obama four years ago. Trumps popular vote was not 46.1 but 46.15 if we are talking about accuracy.

Just putting it out there. It was stated after the election that Trump would likely end up with the majority. Just setting the record straight.

I'll grant you the 46.1 of the total participating voters but would have to have you acknowledge that your candidate received significantly less than 50%. I tend to disregard those who voted for a candidate that couldn't possibly win. Fifty percent is rather generalizing but it's a way of saying the country is basically split down the middle. Baldo, my impression of your perception is that you wouldn't recognize a fact if it crawled up your trousers and bit you on the ass. I would personally enjoy living in a United States that was devoid of California, Massachusetts and New York City. My candidate would've received and overwhelming majority in that United States.

I'm not willing to write off any of our states. Even Kansas. I was speaking emotionally. I would write off those areas. I would want them to continue as they are with their own national governments. I do love many people who live in those three areas. I certainly wouldn't want them to sink into the sea. I just want their influence on my culture to diminish. I like Kansas but I wouldn't want it to be a separate nation. Perhaps it could be the northern district of Texahoma.

If I could pick my small (Mostly Republican) town and move it to TX, or KS or just about anywhere other than New England, NY or CA I would. I'd have to take the 4 seasons with me. But not gonna happen and I'm to entrenched here, to move.

It's also 2.1% closer to 50% than your guy. Which roughs out to 2.8 Million + votes more than your guy. I'd say those are indisputable facts, wouldn't you? And it didn't have to bite me in the ass. I just had to open my browser and find that info on countless websites... Baldo the Googler

Two percent is significant in most presidential elections. Mrs. Clinton took California with an over 4 million vote spread. Without California she would have come in second by popular vote even with the other population concentrations that she took. She didn't take her home state of Arkansas. If my memory serves her husband had similar problems. I wonder what that means. Never mind. Let's just not talk about it. Carl, who had already googled.

OK some things matter and some things don't matter as much.
First Trump won, that matters, that matters a lot!
Hillary may have won the popular vote, I say may because we don't know how many votes were illegal. But it doesn't really matter
The recount was a flop, it cost Hillary votes instead of gained, but that really doesn't matter either.
The lefties and the snowflakes invested a lot of time and money to influence (illegally in my opinion) the electoral college, that backfired and cost Hillary a few votes, but at this point it really doesn't matter does it.
Donald J Trump will be inaugurated on January 20th and start doing something unheard of, he'll start keeping his promises! That really matters and there's nothing to stand in his way now. This is what matters most!
What comes in second as what matters. Bill and Hillary are done, no more dynasty, no more threats of running for president. She's old and tired now, next time ... Forget a bout it!!!
Merry Christmas to all
