Hey all

Well I'm the proud owner of 2 stoeger "coach guns" old school 12 gauge double barreled.
They are wonderfully made and a pleasure to shoot. Yeah I'm becoming "one of those"  Smiley

congrats on the new shotguns.  Just be careful you do not bruise your armpit/shoulder area too much shooting them.

I once shot about 15 rounds deer hunting on some deer in a field with my mossberg 500 12 gauge slug gun and even with the orange hunting coat on,  my armpit/shoulder area was a tad bit sore and bruised the next day.

Very nice and welcome! I keep seeing those coach guns and being tempted, but I've been on a "Only buy silenced guns" kick lately, and it'd be real tough and expensive to put TWO suppressors on one gun...

I was getting into Cowboy Action shooting, when I stopped shooting in general. I was wanting to get a 12 gauge trench gun, instead of the double barrel.

Also a lever action .357, to match my SAA.

Sacrilege, an SAA in 357. You need to take them back and get ones with the proper size hole in the end. Evil

I have a Stoeger coach gun as well.
One really cool thing about it is that you can fire both barrels at once.
2 3 inch shells at one time is punishing, but fun.
And 2 birdshot loads at once will obliterate a skeet.

Appears to be both single and double trigger models.  Also appears that some fire both bbls, even when you don't want it too.  Some complaints about an auto safety too. (Lots of web write ups)

On mine there are two triggers, one behind the other.
You hook your normal trigger finger on the front one and your middle finger on the second.  When you are ready to fire, just act like you are making a fist.
They usually fire a millisecond apart; hard to get one big boom.  Still, a whole heck of a lot of fun.

And Jess, I hate the auto safety, but haven't gotten around to disabling it.

Just checked the website.  I wasn't aware they made single trigger and double trigger models now.

If I did it over, would still take the double triggers.  Since each barrel is a different choke (on mine, anyway), it's like having two different guns, imho.

Gotta get me one of them.  So I can go out on my balcony and fire TWO BLASTS into the air.  That'll show em. That I know all about emptying my weapon.  And how to get arrested for firearms discharge.

I hope it's okay if I do a semi-threadJACK (Pun intended) and show off what Santa helped me build:

Always thought the "Decorative" AR lowers were kinda silly but what the heck, it looks cool...

It's a Spike's Tactical Jack lower, I had a local guy Cerakote the skull to make it look nice:

Here's the lower by itself:

And now that Santa brought me the needed parts, the completed gun:

(Well, ALMOST completed, a Franklin Armory Binary Trigger MKIII is on order but hasn't arrived yet. Basically built this whole gun around the binary trigger system just for S&G.)

Oh wow... Just tracked down a video of it... That's so inaccurate it's painful... Way too small, way too small of a hole.

Movie scene (Blood, guts and violence)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKJiwcGvaqI

Real shotgun suppressor (There's only one commercially made one on the market right now, the SilencerCo Salvo-12)

Now that we've morphed to guns in general, has anybody seen this (somewhat) new TNW ASR (Aero survival rifle) pistol caliber carbine?

http://www.tnwfirearms.com/category-s/1825.htm

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5tCwlFsihA

A straight blow back design, and originally came in 9mm, .40, and .45, but lately has come out in 10mm as well.  Easy take down, switch caliber too.  And takes Glock mags for everything.  It apparently comes with an economical 4X scope, and no iron sights, and because of the plain bbl, you cannot get a good long sight radius beyond the integral picatinny on top anyway.

NRA review:  https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/1/19/review-tnw-firearms-aero-survival-rifle/

With the longer bbl, all pistol bullet velocities are increased of course, but a new Liberty Civil Defense 60-gr. nickel-plated copper hollow point 10mm round scoots right along at 2400 fps. when fired from a pistol, but shot from the ASR, bullet velocity averaged 3087 fps. with an impressive muzzle energy of 1269 ft lbs.
