with due respect to Paul Harvey

Thakns everyone for reading my "Christmas story"
About the '35 Harley.
I didn't have the Harley very long.. I, and the Matcless dealer were the only two who would ride it. It was beyond riding as my riding friends told me.
I kinda got the feeling that it wasn't too swift when my buddy went around me in his old Chevy. Since the bike was really slow, cars rode my tail. I had the perfect solution for that. I just worked the Coleman style oil pressure pump on the gas tank and the tailgaters disappeared in a big cloud of blue smoke! It was worth it to keep the oil reservoir full of 70 weight oil, just for that.
I sold it for 25 bucks after one riding season.. It was so beat that it couldn't be restored except by jacking up the bobbie pin on the ignition switch and driving a new HD under it.

Shortly after that, I found the money to buy a 1946 Matchless thumper. what a change! But that's another story.
