One more turn should do it!

Kent, Ohio

« on: December 25, 2016, 08:49:39 AM »

Got one of these for Christmas. Not sure if I'm gonna like it. I currently have a very simple set up I took from my bicycle. Simple clamp on that works but, is a little tight. Asked for one for Christmas but, did not tell anybody exactly which one. I ended up with this. My bike is in storage(off site) and cant check it out. Women are so sensitive about taking back a gift (my wife). On the other hand she bought it from the local dealer and they wont likely do a return after 30 days. Im not inclined to go to storage bldg. to check.

Just to be certain, that is a mounting bracket?

I'd try it and see it if does the job.   If she likes it and it serves the purpose, why not.    I know, she bought it for you to like.   I can't tell you how many things I have because my wife thought I liked it.  Wink  She's a very giving person.   I just wished she knew what I liked.   2funny

Can't tell what it is, other than it goes on the handlebars.

give it a shot,  worth a try.  If not,  try returning ASAP.

I for one prefer to keep my cell phone in my pocket zipped up or in my top luggage compartment put in a foam cup coozie for protection fits nicely in there.

I would not trust them to keep my expensive cell phone in personally and see no need for one.

A barefoot willie, 2 of them one on each handlebar mount,  cup holder is my preferred handlebar mount and at 20 bucks each am sure is cheaper than that cell phone holder.

I just put together a magnetic cell phone mount that fits between the risers. Cost about six bucks from eBay & is best solution I've ever had.

Wife and I just got back from returning the Kuryakyn phone holder. I about choked when she told me she paid $70+ for it. Granted she purchased at a dealer.  I like the look of the Ram mount not sure how much $ it is though.
I like and want my phone out on the bar(s). I use as a GPS, and Pandora music. Plugs nicely into my radio when I need a charge.

I have one of these. It works well, but I'm always watching it....not quite convinced yet. There is a rubber webby thing that is made to grab the corners for a positive hold.

One other issue...I have a Galaxy 6, and the phone has to be placed perfectly to prevent the four rubber knobs from pressing any buttons on the side, one of them is the OFF button.....not cool...lol.
