It makes me think all the drugs that Carrie Fisher did must have overridden the longevity genes she got from her Mom.

I am of most likely a handful of people that has never seen Star Wars, or any sequel.  However I thought her role as Joliet Jake Blues girlfriend, was quite good plotting extreme methods to take him out.

Perhaps they are together again in heaven.

Last night Clyde Lewis did a very nice tribute show to her and her career.  I did not know she was Debbie Reynold's daughter.

I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars, but I figured it would be almost impossible to have not seen it in the last 40 years.

I cannot imagine going thru something like this with say a younger child especially.  A few years ago a nice quiet kid in our small school system 1 year older than my boy in middle school at the time took his life hanging himself in his bedroom and his 2 younger brothers after school found him shortly after.  Rumors had it his dad was abusive or just awnry yelling all the time at least but the kid wrote a note but was not shared to anyone of course except to his immediate family.  both my kids a year or two apart went to his funeral with my wife not sure I could hold it together for very long.   Sort of like when I was a senior in high school a junior boy I played baseball with being a very nice kid, just not in the popular crowd,  who use to pinch run for me all the time,  shot himself by suicide with a 12 gauge in the stomach deer hunting and apparently he had to crawl back to his shotgun to shoot himself again to finish it off since the first shot was not immediately lethal.  He left a note to his best friends in his class on what they could have of his to remember him by like a baseball glove, etc.   One can only imagine what his mind state must have been in to do something like that and I know his parents and both are very nice easy going parents.   Cry

We have a TV channel called Antenna TV and every weeknight they broadcast The Johnny Carson show.

Last night whether by coincidence or if it was planned they showed the 1983 show when Carrie Fisher was on.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AI0AoxZfOhg

1983 I was 17/18 years old at the time so I never watched it then, but during the interview she seemed like a real sweetheart.

Gee,  I thought everyone in the early 80s watched the johnny carson show.  Much like everyone has seen at least one episode of star wars.  However,  I have never watched ET either in the 80s just bits and pieces of it is all.  different strokes for different folks.
