tough call, I say they maybe good but maybe bad in other circumstances.
I think we have all seen someone run a complete red light before, one last year for me with a semi going right thru a 4 way stop light system doing 50 mph, luckily me sitting at the stoplight seeing him blow right by me NO cross traffic which was rare indeed. He realized he ran it until well AFTER the red stop light since saw his brakes hard after thru intersection - oopsss..
Only thing would suck is I admit I run yellow lights sometimes and thru say the middle of the intersection the light turns red, do I still get a ticket even though I will be thru the intersection just before the cross traffic light turns green?
I sometimes brake hard to stop, but often just go same or slightly faster speed going thru on the yellow then changing red light, especially in winter driving when it is near impossible to slam on the brakes and stop in time without sliding thru the snow covered roads.

I'm good with red light cams but not with speed cams. Speed cams are set up for collecting money. I've seen them right near traffic speed change signs where there wasn't much time to slow down. SPEED TRAP. Cams watching people go about there daily business? NO.

I feel when you become a biker, you finally realize what is at stake. And whether you are on a bike or in a four wheel vehicle you become a better and safer driver. Yellow light means prepare to stop, it's a warning of what is to come, it does not mean you should blow it, or take your chances. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, at this point you have a clean slate. But if you get stupid and over confident and hurt yourself or kill someone you loose everything you worked for. There are cameras SO WHAT! follow the rule and you won't even know they are there, and they won't even bother you. Truth is, our luck eventually runs out, hopefully it is at the poker table and not in the street.
