what is up with all these young teenagers, early 20s fighting in the mall?

I saw a few videos on the news today and seems pretty widespread all over, not isolated.

I say let them all fight and weed them out of this world?

Glad I have not shopped in a mall in years.

Not sure what I would do if a teenager hit me for no reason in a mall, all I know is they best be a faster runner than me do not care if under age 18 or not .... Smiley

I saw a few pictures. They don't look like conservatives to me. Definetly liberals!

In the 60's, the world changed. "Nice" people quit going downtown, and started
going to the malls. Now people sit in their suburban living rooms and shop
at Amazon, and the riff-raff are at the malls...

Saw the same thing last night. It seemed they were coordinated through social media.
Juvenile hoodlums every last one.  Another good reason to avoid malls.  Have not been in one for years.

I concur, they look like liberals.  It appears most of these shenanigans are occuring in the mall and not in the stores.  Probably prompted by the bad behavour of a few individuals and the rest joined in.  Sadly, I'm heading to the mall in a few minutes, hopefully these thugs are sleeping in, I make a terrible victem.

I know I shouldn't ask, but I'm going to anyway.....

What makes you think they look like liberals?

  Both very good points!
Here in NE Ohio in an approximately a 25 mile radius. We had 5 shopping malls. 2 very large and the other 3 average. 2(largest) of these 5 were relatively new, opening between '79 & '82. As you know wherever a mall is built other stores follow. You could go to these areas if you so desired and find most anything you wanted.
Slowly they are closing. Is it because Amazon is here or is it because the riff raff is there?  The 2 largest malls have closed already. 1 being closed since '03 and the other since '08. I don't believe Amazon and such were the culprits. 2 of the last 3 are on their way out. One will close in 2017, the other is on life support. The 1 that is strong and steady is in a wealthy affluent part  of town.
People do not feel safe in these places! Urban riff-raff take over and the stores dry up. (I will not let our two teenagers go to any of them after dark. Don't really want them there during daylight hours.) Then the riff-raff move on to the next, vicious cycle. What I noticed is the malls that use police for security stay open. The ones that have closed, used the security company(unarmed) type. Three of the malls were / are located in the same city, Akron. One is gone, one will close in '17 and the third is the one in the affluent area of Akron.
What went on this week around the country in these malls is no surprise. Been going on for quite awhile in one way shape or form.

I think malls have high pressure water hydrants.

I think they should use them to dampen all the idiot's enthusiasm.

I've been saying it for years, we're misspelling the word for a large shopping center...

It's supposed to be "maul"...

No matter how you spell it, it is another 4 Letter word, and I don't like them.

Along with the others like, Sale, Shop, Mall, Spend, and any more you can think off.

not that I am no expert in terms of going to the shopping mall regularly, or for that matter even yearly, but it maybe just me, but I do not see the fights nor hear of them on the news around my local rural smaller communities, although just this past year the big city Madison WI mall had a gun totting gang banger hoodlum closing the mall area down around the food court area shooting.

I guess it appears these kind of punks think it is o.k. to just start fighting at will??   tickedoff

A decent sized billy club carrying it under my coat would set them straight until it broke over their head. Angry

Although I really do not look around,  I also do not see too many, if ever any, security officers walking around, but like said, I do not go yearly to a mall.

Not to change my own thread, but speaking of Amazon shopping,  my local UPS driver was chatting with me and since my kids and wife routinely shop amazon.com  (me maybe 1-2 times per year only though),  he really thinks give it less than 10 years and amazon.com will put even walmart out of business and of course more mom and pop local shopping stores.

Hey, with free shipping and my wife and kids decided it was worth the price to pay for amazon PRIME account,  the pricing sometimes is hard to beat vs. even the walmart giant.

My last thing I bought from amazon.com was I think a 5 gallon jug of 0w-20 mobil one synthetic oil for like 20 bucks with free prime amazon shipping when I compared to walmart pricing of near 24-25 bucks last time I checked.   The price of synthetic oil on sale almost is now as cheap as conventional motor oil being 3 bucks per qt. for say either basic quaker state, valvoline, or mobil super 5000 oil.
