Has anyone tried rear brake pads on the front? I put Gold Wing rotors on the front and they are a little thinner than OEM.  I have been using kevlar organic pads and they are much better than OEM pads on the rotors but wear out faster, but they are cheep and stop better.

Are you sure you want to mess around with the brakes like that?  You may be betting your life on it.

There have been members who have done exactly what you are suggesting. Haven't heard of any problems.

Thanks Meathead. I figure there is plenty of room by how far the pistons are out.  Grandpot, the kevlar pads are 100 times better then OEM for stopping power.

Which Kevlar pads have you been using ? No issues of extra wear on the rotors ?

10mm which the rears are will work on the front.
However organic pads do not stop better than sintered-bronze pads which OEM is. many companies make sintered-bronze. SB is not hard on rotors. only race organic pads are better but they need to be hot to be better, something which does not happen on the street. the '97 valkyrie is still in the top 5 of all time for shortest stopping distance of all bikes tested using OEM pads.

please provide test results of kevlar pads providing shorter stopping distances. u won't be able to.

Meathead. The place I bought from is D2MOTO.  Ordered 3 sets of rears. This will be my third set. I change tires each year and do my winter checkup. I pad slap while i'am there. The kevlar pads keep your rotors looking new with on ware, the OEM chewed my original rotors all up, and wore them down past min.
