U.S. expels 35 Russian diplomats, closes two compounds

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/us-expels-35-russian-diplomats-closes-two-compounds-official/ar-BBxHmgM?ocid=spartanntp

The United States on Thursday expelled 35 Russian diplomats and closed two Russian compounds in New York and Maryland in response to a campaign of harassment by Russia against American diplomats in Moscow, a senior U.S. official said on Thursday.

The U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters the Russian diplomats would be given 72 hours to leave the United States. Access to the two compounds will be denied to all Russian officials as of noon on Friday, the official added.

"These actions were taken to respond to Russian harassment of American diplomats and actions by the diplomats that we have assessed to be not consistent with diplomatic practice," the official told Reuters.

Interesting.   I try to stay up on as much political news as is available.   Hadn't heard a word about Americans being harassed.   Makes me wonder if Obama isn't either getting even for alledged  hacking issues or, setting Trump up for something.

I believe the technical term for this is "throwing a temper tantrum"

Good to see the kids and brats in their last weeks in office.

So Obumer starts WW3 22 days before he is supposed to leave office......... So he can call for Marshal law and stay in office. OR so the Demorats can / will blame it on the Repubs. He will get his name in infuncy one way or another. Some community organizer, sheesh.

Kicking some diplomats out is hardly starting WWIII. But a nuclear arms race, that has some real potential.

Well now... if what he claims has happened is true, why would anyone have a problem with this?

I don't recall this level of angst last week when Trump was doing his saber rattling....

Obama is reminding me of Saddam Hussein, at the end of the first Gulf War... When it became obvious he'd lost, instead of just leaving Kuwait, he set all the oil wells on fire to make sure the people who came in after him had as much crap to deal with as possible...

Just to be clear here...

The Obama Administration has imposed sanctions upon Russia, closed 2 Russian compounds, and expelled 35 Russian diplomats because Russia exposed the corruption and fraud of the DNC, their Presidential nominee, and various democrat operatives by "hacking" what were unsecured servers and poorly protected computers, then making public the content of emails the content of which were unchallenged and therefore accurate.

Had the DNC and company not have been so hopelessly corrupt and had they secured their computers to the proper level (The RNC had the FBI review theirs and they had no breeches.) they may have won.

Blaming Russia for undermining our Democracy because they exposed the Democrats undermining our own Democracy is pretty rich.

Sanctions? How about putting them on retainer for the Justice Department?

And I still think we will find out eventually that Israel was a major player in this and Russia was not.

I hope you don't mind me changing your post.  With as much spin and what I believe to be out right lies that have come out of this administration, until I see some proof, it's just another ploy to place blame some where else.   If, the Russians did hack the DNC, IMHO, they did us a favor but showing the DNC and Clinton as they really are.   That's not to suggest I support who ever did it but, the DNC nor Clinton has never denied the emails we're actually theirs.   BTW, don't forget about those "Personal"30,000  emails  Clinton destroyed.   We only have her "word" that they were actually personal.    Roll Eyes

The saber rattling is purely for the entertainment/benefit of the liberals. They are the only ones who will actually believe it.
O'Idiot still does not grasp the fact that the fabric of America usually does not believe a single word from his mouth.

From what I have been seeing tonight these are intelligence operative ( kind word for a spy I suppose ).
They are required to stay within 25 miles of their compounds and to move outside of it they need to go through proper channels to get permission.  However they have just been allowed to move about wherever at free will.

Why are they even allowed to be here? I can understand an embassy but that should be it and when rules were not being followed they should have been kicked out a  long ago.

Sanctions against Russia? What a hypocrite our present leader is.

A dishonest Democratic party is OK? A rigged Democratic primary is OK? Encouraging illegals to commit a felony and vote is OK? Voter fraud in Detroit and elsewhere is OK? Trying to influence Israel's election is OK?

But when someone tells the American people the truth Hillary and the media are trying to hide we need sanctions?

This administration makes Nixon seem like a boy-scout!

Soon Trump will start "draining the swamp". If he truly does it, I think level of corruption doing so uncovers will be both horrifying and enlightening.

Clinton corruption was presented to her supporters on a silver platter and yet she still received the popular vote.  Democrats do not care about corruption within their gov't.  Hussein's lies were presented on the platter of the decade and they voted for him again.  Democrats don't care if their politicians lie to them.
