That's when President elect Trump is going to release what he knows about the so called Russian hacking.  Information that only he knows about.  "When asked what he knew that others did not, Mr. Trump demurred, saying only, “You’ll find out on Tuesday or Wednesday.”" http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/12/31/us/politics/donald-trump-russia-hacking.html

Much ado about nothing.

If the narrative is Russia hacked the election to support Trump it fails on a number of items.

The time line is off.

The operation as a stand alone hacking operation is sophomoric at best. If this was Russia the media would have been getting behind Trump. They were not.

Of all the candidates, Trump posed the greatest strategic threat to Russia. Just the unknown factor puts him up there.

What we will learn is that the DNC and Podesta didn't secure their computers and were lax in basic security.

They should get 100% of the blame here.

I still think it was an inside DNC job or the Israelis.

The media just jumped on a local story about the Russians hacking a local water plant.

Then the small fact came out that this was just on one laptop at the company, that wasn't even connected to the water supply control computers.  crazy2  (and was some sophomoric malware)

The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming.

while I agree it can be a funny world I don't think anyone is giving Trump any flack or blame because of the alleged hacking. I'm certainly not blaming anyone. Just eager to learn the truth about it on Tuesday or Wednesday when he releases the information only he knows about.

Not trying to start a crap storm but do you actually believe he has some kind of insider info? If so he will catch a ton of flack and probably will anyway from the LSM.

Putin says we are Christians(he has tried very hard to revive the Christian Orthodox Church)--we should be like this holding crossed fingers fighting Radical Islam--they aren't Communists anymore....Goggle"what part of the media do the Rothschilds own"--they own it all...who are they? hint--they own the entire world wide banking system--the Fed/IMF...the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned about....they have held the Bilderburg group meeting annually for the last 50 years inviting some 120-150 of the richest people in the world.....the "globalists"--how many Russians have been invited lately...none..sounds like they are about to be overtaken...

Perhaps the "outspoken minority" should come up with a better excuse than the "Russian version". They certainly can't be that stupid.......or maybe......

I think it was true that the DNC was in the tank for Clinton. But that doesn't detract from the Russians trying to sway our election or throw doubt into our democracy.

The intelligence community has been wrong more times than one can shake a stick and for a variety of reasons.  Right now my guess is politics.  Should they put forth quantitative proof such as they did in the Cuban Missle crises, they could put all other theories to rest.  All the hacking did though, who ever did it, was expose the corruption in the DNC and this should have been done by our own main stream media which failed this country miserably.  Folks like myself, and many here, already knew this (Though maybe not the full extent )  and the rest of the county now knows, at least for those who care.  I think who ever did it, Craig Murray says inside Dem operatives did it, should pay heavily.  Some bad hombres.

And why did the O not even comment let alone put sanctions on the Chinese for hacking the records of many millions of Americans in the Gov't files?

Why won't someone invent a hack proof internet?

The Russians throwing doubt into our democracy???

A Sec. of State taking unprecedented liberties with Classified information on unsecured servers, taking 10's of MILLIONS of dollars through her "Foundation" from Mid-East Arab countries, destroying thousands of e-mails UNDER CONGRESSIONAL SUBPOENA, and then making a run for President and all you can say is ...

LOOK! RUSSIAN SQUIRRELS!

Hell, if the Russians were responsible, and I'm pretty confident they were not, we need to put them on retainer at the Justice Department because what throws doubt into our democracy is when our own Justice Department isn't willing to stop and prosecute a Sec. of State that took unprecedented liberties with Classified information on unsecured servers, received 10's of MILLIONS of dollars for her "Foundation" from Mid-East Arab countries, and destroyed thousands of e-mails UNDER CONGRESSIONAL SUBPOENA just to list a few transgressions.

So if I'm understanding some of my friends correctly when hidden truth becomes publicly exposed we are concerned if the truth came from the Russians.  Yep.  I'm always troubled about where the truth comes from.  Never mind that someone hid the truth, misled and deceived the American people, but at least it was done by another American.

Fake news?  Help me out.  How is that related to the alleged hacking?  What was the fake news?  I don't  pay enough attention to "social media" to know some of these things.

Evidently along with their hacking into the DNC and Podestas email they were planting fake news stories in social media. I'm not convinced it was to get Trump the election. I tend to think it was more along the lines of sowing discord in our election process.

The thread specifically was started referencing hacking by the Russians.  That could involve illegal activity.  Posting fake news on social media doesn't require any hacking.

Sadly,, there are too many today who either don't have enough brains or don't bother to take the time to sort out what is true and what is not. The internet has promoted this unintentionally. Its our job to sort this stuff out. If we just believe what we see and read then we will be gullible as ever. The Russians sure do not have a lock on fake news. Plenty of it right here in our own media. And how do you regulate or stop "fake news" on the internet?

Hell, our national news media broadcasts fake news. Used car dealers have moved up a notch after watching the sales job they tried to put on for Hilliary. And then the tears after the results came in, hilarious.

Thats above my pay grade. But if I understand it correctly, they have ways of thwarting those Bots and such. But to be honest when they start talking all this stuff it's like mumbo jumbo to me.

I got weary of reading the long explanation.  It consisted largely of speculation and assumption.

If there was hacking I'm concerned.  Not so much am I concerned with the criminality of the hacking as I am with what we can and should do to avoid it.  Twitter and social media are widely open.  I'm not entirely sure of what we can do with that.

you can do something about hacking,, but they will never be able to do anything about fake news. Especially when a lot of it is right in our own media under "free speech"
