Well, it finally became a reality. We put the Florida house up for sale this week and start packing! I got a promotion, and I'm heading off to Nevada to build my company another manufacturing facility. They have been talking about it for close to a year, but its a go now.
Now we have to find a new home in Vegas.

If you are on the VRCC you got a wingman in Kingman. I'm about 90 miles southeast

Green Valley or North east Vegas is pretty nice.

I have no idea of the housing costs. But I've always thought Boulder City was pretty nice and not too far from the city.

OK, good luck in the new venture but, I gotta ask.   Does what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas?

I sure hope so.  Had a girlfriend there once.   Don't want that chasing me down...........   2funny

If you don't know anyone living there, I might be able to get the son-in-law to make a few suggestions. He's been living there for around 15 years I think. Currently working in a driving job, so has most likely been ALL around the city.

   And is STILL changing.

Every city has problem areas.  Some are more highly dramatized than others.

Sounds like 2017 for your family is going to be GREAT!  cooldude

Not having much luck finding a house. Either you spend way too much money, or live in a sardine can development. I may just buy land in the desert and build a garage, thats all I need anyway.  cooldude

Best of Luck to you and Jo, Jeff. If housing is that expensive, you might just have to pull some more cash out of your mattress. I hear those sleep number beds just work on air anyway. No cash required in the mattress.

maybe become best buds with the TV show owners Pawn Stars,  they can afford to put you up in their pad, just do not room with Chumlee....   Kiss

Best of luck in finding affordable housing that will be what you want.

I once turned down a job to stay with a company to move to Milwaukee in the 90's, but took the severance package instead as did all but 4-5 who were near retirement me being in my mid 20's at the time.

Congrats on the promotion Jeff! You and Jo have been living in that tropical climate for a long time so the "dry heat" should be a relief. If things go well for us we should be in AZ within the next three years.  cooldude

Being the "sensitive" person that I am, I could take that as an old joke but, considering the age of the poster, I'll just go prepare to change his diaper.   Wink
