I like most probably read the tech page. There is some information obtained there that's is good to know. But more times than not, someone will post their individual problem, members will then give possible solutions or fixes to the issue.

The poster will "usually" ( in some cases never answer after the initial post) thank everyone but that's the end. Very seldom do you find out what the real problem was or if it was fixed at all. Most post are just a dead end without solution. It would be nice to find out that a problem was solved and what the actual fix was. Most of the time you just wonder what the end result was?

Some of us do post the results AND the fix or fixes involved. As these bikes mellow more-age-these machines of ours will require a bit more extensive maintenance and T L C while we ride the snot out of em. My I/S will be 18 n March of this year. Ain't lookin to trade jist yet.  coolsmiley RIDE SFE.

In about July I started my first tear down of the rear of the Valk. Was working a new job and driving 200 miles a day. Needed a lot of help, but didn't wanna post questions on board cuz surely it was gonna take months to finish with the personal fatigue. Finally got it done with the help of a senior member of this board, trading pictures of the progress across the border. No results would have gotten posted if I'd used the Board. I thank that guy so much for helping me, and having so much patience. Hope his new Suspension is holding up.

I generally try and make it a point, to give thanks to the members, and give my results, unless someone has a better solution than I.

Geez Jess, you actually read Nancy Drew books?  Roll Eyes  Grin

Don't feel bad, back during the war I used to read Uncle Wiggly in the paper every chance I got. He was a wascally wabbit back in the day, rather dapper fellow as I recall. Wonder how many of our august membership remember him!? You need to be somewhere in the seven decades or beyond bracket.  Wink

I read most of the Hardy Boys.  The only Nancy Drew I read was the one we had at home (we had a pretty good home library).

You couldn't actually be seen carrying around a Nancy Drew book after all.   Grin

With macular degeneration and only one good eye my 87yo mom reads a couple books a week.  She keeps sending me boxes of books she's finished.  I've finished the whole Craig Johnson Longmire series, and most of the CJ Box Joe Pickett (Wyoming game warden) series.  I have some 15 of the best Civil War General's biographies lined up.  I can't keep up with her.  Probably because she had to give up motorcycle riding and I haven't.
