That's some clever tech.

Dunno how practical it is right now but that's some clever tech.

Mebbe  the bike could follow me around the grocery store and my smart phone could add up what I've bought as I load items into/onto my bike?

I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Interesting technology.

So, how would one retrofit that to a Valkyrie?   Yeah, I know, not likely to happen.

I'd keep the trike.  ;)

So, when you come to a stop light, you stop and have to let go of the handlebars so the bike can do its thing.
A guy called me a Ba$tard, I said in my case it's an accident

That is some crazy stuff. Is it for real?

I can see how gyros maintain level, but doesn't it need some sort of force to correct a lean?

jim@98valkyrie.com

Don't show this to Chase........ He will figure a way to adapt to the Valk and NO ONE else will ever win the slow race at Inzane............

Bob, it looks like the bike uses the front steering stem axis to balance.  It seems the "looking both ways" is actually a balance task.

It's great technology, whatever it is, and Honda is in the forefront with it's personal mobility/help products such as:

http://world.honda.com/UNI-CUB/

Soichiro Honda would be proud of what his little motorized bicycle has morphed into.

:cooldude: agreed. Honda may have given up on big cruisers, but they haven't given up on motorcycles.

Thanks, Bill. It looked like a cute little nod when it came through the door...lol...I'd like to see how it responded to a bump or push to the side...

That really is amazing...One of the reasons I've always liked Honda.....they really work at it.

I feel Honda didn't give up on big cruisers, just fine tuned their line up.  The Goldwing F6B and Valkyrie are still the best out there.  Although I wish they provided more support, such as options and upgrades. Honda just decided the world market for cruisers, basicly the US, just does not want technology, reliability and performance, it wants HD mystic and chest pounding.

I've been a Honda guy since 1969 when I bought my first bike, a CB160.  I've never owned any other brand.

I'm amazed at what they do and have done.

Wish I could afford the jet.

Lol....it sure is pretty. The very first thought I had when I saw a picture of it, was how are the wings not going to get trashed by mechanics servicing the engines?

I can understand that question from a mechanics point of view. :)

Knowing Honda, they got it all figured out.  Maybe some type of platform that goes over the wing, but under the engine, putting the engine at the perfect height.

Maybe it's a "no step" top surface. That would make everybody sure to put the ramp in place.

I wonder how it reacts to ramps and or steps/curbs.   Seemed like it was following a device like a cell phone.    Would be nice for loading up a ramp, not so nice if you forgot it was following you and headed up the stairs with you.   :o   I wonder if it has obstacle avoidance?

Nice for those with aging knees and hips that lack the low speed confidence to continue riding.

I'm starting to think of some fun possibilities I gotta admit...

Imagine a Valk blaring "Ride of the Valkyries" blaring through a gaggle of Harleys... with no rider on it...

With nickels balanced on the engine, of course...

I wonder if it could be made to do a standing wheelie?

Have your bike come when you whistle, come up to you, do a wheelie in place and the bike yells "HI-Ho Silver, AWAY!"

Hmmm... This might could be fun!

The way it can follow you around brings a whole new meaning to take your bike to work.

You think girlfriends and wives are jealous of men and their bikes? This will really take it to another level.

Yeah, I'm figuring it will have lane departure correction, auto-braking, and cruise and gps of course...
