EBay Issue

I want to share something with you concerning dealings on EBay. I do my share on EBay and have had very little issues, in my dealings on it. EBay is a business and you have to pay attention, Ebay is never the problem it is the people buying and selling on it.   As you know, some of the items offered and may say “Make Offer”, recently I did, and it got accepted.  I thought this was slick, and why you need to pay attention!  They took my offer, now the ad showed the shipping cost.  But!  What they did, is lower that "Buy Now" price and raised the shipping cost. The tricky part is, when you make payment you don’t see the shipping cost till very end, when you are ready to push the PAY button. So you have to pay attention to the very end, or it may cost you a little more than you agreed on!  Just wanted to pass that on!!

Yup,that's been going on for quite awhile.Also buying stuff and not getting as described really po's me.

I always  consider the shipping cost before I buy anything especially on Ebay.


I refuse to purchase anything with unreasonable shipping costs.

I agree, I always check the shipping also. In this case they showed in the ad, a reasonable shipping cost for the size.  Also when I placed my offer, I can also include a message, which I stated that the cost and shipping would come out to this total. And they excepted the offer, but in the beginning of the check out, it don't show the shipping and total cost. Just before the Pay now, it shows the shipping and total. And the lowered the item cost, and raised the shipping.

yah, that would suck higher shipping costs not realizing it thru the end?

I do not buy off ebay, but thru amazon.com mostly and I always look at shipping costs since some are crazy high vs. some others free shipping.  Wife and kids do most of the shopping there and want the PRIME deal where you pay a yearly fee but if buy enough, is worth it.  I guess they buy enough??
