On a camera forum I'm a member of.
Myself, I have never heard of them (Velocette). British bikes but I just liked the shot and I thought the bikes were cool as well.  coolsmiley

Anyone a little familiar with them?

I remember the name from years back. Do not know that I ever saw anything than pictures or news releases.

Good looking retro bike? I thought they were out of business.

I've read about them in magazines back in the day. But I've never seen one in person. I think those are originals.

I used to have a  MK II Velocette LE.

Flat twin 200cc
Water cooled
Floorboards and leg guards.
Shaft drive
Hand pull start
Hand gear change lever.

They look like single cylinder 500 cc thumpers.

Classic fish tail exhaust pipe.

Here's a couple of photos I took of a Velocette Norton when I was a freelance photographer in England.

Bit blurry I photographed the actual magazine cover and inside page.

I had a '58 in the early '60s.  It was a 350 single that surprised MORE than a few 500 BSAers. Cool
Biggest problem was valve adjustment.  Course threads lead to the necessity of re-adjustment on a regular basis..  BUT, I loved it.  It was my first REAL motorcycle.   I actually rode it on the freeways of Los Angeles. cooldude
