Trump Tells Supporters: 'You're Not Forgotten Anymore'

"On the campaign I called it the forgotten man and the forgotten woman," he said. "Well, you're not forgotten anymore. That I can tell you. Not forgotten anymore."

Trump said that he didn't care if the weather was nice or not for the inauguration because "I'm going to be cheering you on -- you're going to be cheering me on but I'm going to cheer you on.

"We are going to make America great again, and I'll add greater than ever before," Trump said.

There was a huge turn out people everywhere with shouts of USA, USA, USA and God Bless America  :cooldude: I guess the deplorables came out in big numbers. Most of the news is still about protests but you could not see anything like that here. What shameful things happened to the VP's rented house btw.

Those are words that are so welcome, what a gracious and amazing man. He has not varied his pledge or changed his promises and keeps reminding us that he will make America great again.

The Piano Guys were there, one of my favorites, kind of different and great. The Military bands were just awesome as usual. Toby Keith was just great and it was different to have country music at the concert. Some of his songs honored the USA and some of them honored the men and women who served in the military.

Beyonce, Bruce, and the rest GTH

Amen on the promises.  Listening to Rush today rumor is he plans to eliminate, consolidate or thin out a number of departments such as depth of Commerce and such. According to figures will save about 10 trillion over next decade. Good start. Mexico is already paying for the wall. Carrier, Ford and number of other companies are staying or moving back.   :cooldude:

Read Joe Biden's Speech Warning of the Collapse of the ' New World Order'

Vice President Joe Biden warned about the collapse of the "world order" Wednesday during his last time addressing global leaders in his official role

Our careful attention to building and sustaining a liberal international order-with the United States and Europe at its core-was the bedrock of the success the world enjoyed in the second half of the 20th Century.

Today, I'd like to speak to the sources of those pressures, and about why it is imperative that we act urgently to defend the liberal international order. Here in this exclusive Alpine tower, where CEOs of multinational corporations rub elbows with leaders of nations, it is easy to embrace the intellectual benefits of a more open and integrated world.

But it is at our own peril that we ignore or dismiss the legitimate fears and anxieties that exist in communities all across the developed world.

The concern mothers and fathers feel about losing the factory job that has always allowed them to provide for their families.

Parents who don't believe that they can give their children a better life than the one they have.

These are the pressures that are undermining support for the liberal international order from the inside.

Globalization has not been an unalloyed good.

It has deepened the rift between those racing ahead at the top and those struggling to hang on in the middle, or falling to the bottom.

I will assure you, we'll all be watching.

What I am confident of, the unknown path provides us with hope where the path we were on offered only further disaster.   Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Socialism doesn't work but then, one has to be looking for work to earn your own way.   Too many have learned to lived off the efforts of others.
