It stopped raining but the sky remained dark at noon as we came back from the farmer's market.

Told Bonnie that I needed to celebrate the 1st full day of the new Presidency by taking a ride. Naturally she had no objection but wasnt coming along as temp was in the mid 40's

Well to me that is downright balmy weather so put on the chaps and mesh jacket with my little polyester joe rocket liner and went to see which bike to take.   Today it was the beemer police bike as the roads were wet. Plus its a very forgiving bike.....

Went to the gas station and filled up with the 93 octane at 2.99 a gallon (ouch)  and headed sort of northeast toward whatever is out there.  Nobody on the roads at all  just moseying along the winding roads and eventually decided to head northwest, just because I like 7 bridges road which goes by the reservoirs

At 100 I decided to head south and see if Gman was home as his voice mail is always full and nobody ever answers the land line
Where 100 meets the Taconic I went south on that but never exceeded 80 on the way to his house  Since nobody was home I headed back up the Sprain into the Taconic and managed to stay under triple digits (barely) by the great stretch where the Saw Mill merges.

Saw 3 other bikes =  all bmw's  waved and got waves back

Now the sun is peeking thru the clouds and I am gonna take a nice long walk with Bonnie thru Rockefeller Park overlooking the Hudson near Sleepy Hollow, where the headless horseman rides,

Hope some of you got out today

I just like this pic, but it didnt look like that today  : )

Sun was out today and 55°, got off work at noon and rode 25 miles for late lunch, First time out since Christmas. Took 35 miles to get back home. Feel rejuvenated. Ride was dicey with all the sand and cinders on the black tops. but still worth it. Come on SPRING.  cooldude
