First off, this is not meant to be political. Purely on a comedic value level. I can't remember the last time I watched the show. Probably back in the 90's. But I will see clips occasionally. I've thought the few that I've seen with Alec Baldwin were just ok. The lady who did Clinton was really good. Just saw a clip of the dude doing Putin. Best yet ! I think it's going to stick. He was hilarious.  2funny Politics aside. I might have to record just to watch him. I think I've seen the guy before but I'm not sure where ?

Beck Bennet...the guy who did a bunch of AT&T commercial with the cute kids.
He does a great job, even lost a bunch of weight and got in shape for the bit.

I didn't see it. But if what I heard is true, I agree. Way over the line.  Undecided

I am kind of surprised that you have not heard of the feud and mocking of Trump from the Saturday Night crew specifically Alec Baldwin. There is a point that it goes beyond comedic value and they are way over the line.

I did. I have seen some clips. I DIDNT see the clip about his son. ALL the adults are fair game for satire, the children are not.

I only saw a couple of skits, and they sucked. I didn't see anything about the kid, I agree that's over the line.

I did see the skit about Ms Conway....That girl (not Krazy Kelly, but McKinnon) is pleasant to behold...

Based on what I've read, I don't believe there was actually a skit about Barron Trump, one of SNL writers tweeted the "home schooled shooter" thing.

Just like anything else on television, each show has it's own audience it plays to.   SNL has always leaned to the left IMHO.   I don't find their humor to be all that entertaining, regardless of who or what the show is doing.   I gave it a shot and thought, this is a waste of time.

I have watched, but never enjoyed, or been a fan of SNL.    Just not funny in my opinion.

From what I can find, nothing about Barron made it on air. A (possibly about to be ex) writer for SNL made a Tweet saying:

It was written and tweeted by one of their writers and it did not make it to air. Totally not cool.

For the record Rams beat me to the punch.

And yeah, rip on the adults who put themselves out there all day long, but leave the kids out of it until they put themselves into it.

She has been suspended indefinitely and evidently is very apologetic . . .now.

President Trump is so good he's even put Alec Baldwin back to work.

President Trump is so amazing, he managed to get more people out walking in one day than Michelle Obama did in 8 years of pushing exercise!

Haven't watched SNL since the Belushi days when it was actually funny and had some talent on the show.

Yea, Belushi and Eddy Murphy (football has been berry berry good to me) was the last time I really watched that show and enjoyed it.

well here in NJ, we had a Freeholder with one simple question regarding the women's march;

"Will women's march end 'in time for them to cook dinner?"

http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/downashore/Shore-official-interviewed-on-Fox-criticized-for-misogynist-post-on-womensmarch-john-carman-atlantic-county-freeholder-facebook.html

apparently only people who can do stand up on stage are allowed to have a sense of humor.

To get back to the original SNL topic, I don't watch it anymore. While I'm a huge fan of the originals Belushi,Martin,Jane Curtin,Akyroyd and the rest of the crew I have to say this is one of my favorite sketches from the Phil Hartman days

Ditto on not watching it since the early days when it was classic humor. Is it just that we are getting older and more conservative or is it really not that good anymore?

It's just bad comedy. There's no creativity.

Even the now Senator Al Franken was on it for a while and he was funny.

The skits the original crew did were great, like Dan Akyoryd spoofing commercials and his "Bass-O-Matic".
