I just left the hospital after having another test done.  The readiologist that read my ct yesterday is the one that did the test this morning.  He said this test showed him exactly what he thought it would.  The surgery that was performed last February (and landed me in the hospital for 12 days) has come undone and will need to be fixed.  We spoke for a while about the scan yesterday.  He said that scan was not the one specifically designed for detecting the blood clots in the lungs, but they did show up.  When I asked how many, he said 3.  He did emphasize how serious this is and if I experience any trouble breathing, increased pain, shortness of breath or become light headed to go to the ER.  I will see the surgeon in the morning to schedule the stomach surgery again.

Thanks for the update, hoping for the best for ya'! SO glad things got caught when they did!!

Take care of Willow, we all know what a delicate little flower he is in hospitals... Wink

Repair surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday afternoon (15:00).  It is complicated somewhat by the blood thinner prescribed for the clots in the lung.

She's in a good deal of pain and some apprehension.

Thanks again Willow! Much love to her, and brotherly love and support to you and the others around ya'll right now.

Are they just using blood thinners and watching it for the clots or are they planning more invasive procedures?

(Feel free to tell me to mind my own business, as always... just concerned...)

Lori's was (is) a hiatal hernia.  That's a tear in the muscle between the stomach and chest (diaphram?).  It's quite painful when a portion of the stomach gets pressed through and pinched off.

Just thinners for now.  They described them as small, three small ones.

I took her to her doctor's appointment this morning. They sent her across the street and admitted her to the hospital.

Right now they're giving her morphine to try to deal with the pain.

I'll be headed back up there to take her what she thinks she needs.

Hate to here this. Susan and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Will they be able to do the surgery since they put her on the blood thinners for the clots? Keep us updated if possible, but first and foremost take good care of Lori.

The surgeon is dancing with possibilities right now.  They have changed the blood thinner to lovinox which is supposedly more surgery friendly.  He will check tomorrow morning for whether they have an opening earlier than Tuesday.

Unfortunately it would take a lawyer rather than a doctor to relieve the anxiety.   Sad

Hi Willow   We haven't met yet, but hope to this summer in Billings.
Thank you for all that you do for this form. I received my 2017 Valk  calander this week, thank to you.  My son and I will be at Inzane this year for the first time. It looks like the place to be if you own a Valkyrie.
Thanks  again for the work you've put in. We are praying that all goes well with your wife and that God  will Bless you both. Terry Cilley
