Mary Tyler Moore has left us. The Dick Van Dyke Show was a favorite of mine. I had a crush on her as a kid. "Oh Rob !" had a special meaning to me as a kid. RIP Laura  :'(

Couple of things, first compare all those shows back then and compare them to the shows we have on TV today. Then they were truly funny, where now it seems stupid is funny. Then it was bright and positive entertainment, Now a days entertainment is dark and scary with possible residuals of it in the News these days.

The other thing is, why do we cry for the people that pass, their problems are over, it seems that they would cry for us, because we still have to struggle. If it is true what Billy Joel sings, "Only the good die young", Then you guys are in trouble.  Because I am going to be here for a long time!!

Know what you mean.  One show that comes to mind is SNL.
I started watching it when John Belushi and Dan Acaroid(sp) was on. To me this was real funny entertainment (maybe I'm weird) but today, or for the last few yrs (quite a few) it's just stupid! Like they're trying too hard to be funny.
Again, maybe I'm just weird!
