I find nothing about slugging along at 1 to 2 percent GDP growth funny, not at all.  In this time of high tech we should be more closer to the average post war rate of 3 percent.  Bush 2 was at 2 percent, O less than 1.5 percent, both drastically behind the average.

Feel free to laugh

Not sure this technology exists today, but skip the massive amounts of money on the wall and put up an invisible LINE that if you do hit it between mexico and us it will zap the living heck out of you and put you 6 feet under.  Sort of like a bug zapper that is invisible that once you hit it is a WALL that will not allow you to cross and ZAPS the life outta ya as well if you try.

Why cannot Trump afford it he has enough money right??

I may be wrong, but not many, if any, products I buy or have are made in mexico.  Fine with me if trump charges 20% taxation on imports coming from mexico, I can live without.  Maybe then mexico will charge the us 20% as well to export to mexico, then just stop doing it all together, we can live without sending items to mexico right??  It will hurt mexico I think far worse than the us.

Cookie more things than you think. I work in the medical field and have for 31+ yrs and the surgical gloves we use the sterile gowns, paper drapes and towels all have Hecho in Mexico printed on the packages and all from AMERICAN companies. Undecided cheap labor lower taxes is why. With some things going into p,ace now the taxes here will be equal so why not make those things here once again?

Exactly.   Average price of labor in Mexico is $2.60/ hour.  It was Ross Perot that labeled this the race to the bottom.  To pit American high paid labor ( thus being able to afford a more affluent life style ) making quality goods against drastically lower paid workers of the world is economic suicide and we have seen this with drastically lower GDP growth in the last 17 years, especially the last 8.  This was all born of the CFR over 40 years ago, and something we would have never considered in times past.

Lol....."especially the last 8."

Noted.  If more of us show the discipline to just walk away when these discussions turn hostile maybe we'll diminish their occurrences.
