Looks like the wall is going to happen. And he is taking away federal grant money from sanctuary cities.  :cooldude: Maybe that grant money they stop giving out will pay for the wall.

Yep, If you like your plan you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor! We could go back and forth on this kind of stuff all day and all night and still be right where we started.

Anyway, Trump is just getting started. Mexico will pay for the wall. Not all of it but a good chunk of it one way or another.

Trump is a negotiator. The Mexico will pay for the wall is his first negotiating position. In the end the wall will be built and the US will have significantly less to pay for it.

We'll get the doors to the wall probably.

Jack owns a rock.

Jill want's to sell apples on Jacks rock.

Jack charges Jill $1.00 for each apple she sells.

When Jill sells enough apples, Jack hires Jerry to build a wall.

Who paid for Jacks wall?
If you're gonna be stupid, ya gota be tough

Maybe, just maybe that could work. But he would have to nullify NAFTA first.

For the first time since 1964 an American President is actually doing something positive for real Americans. I am stunned.

Lol. On FOX News today they said politicians in Washington are shocked that Trump is torquing off Mexico with the wall deal. Making Europe nervous about trade and working on a massive tax reform. The FOX dude said the only thing the lifers in Washington should be shocked or surprised about is that we have a man elected to office that is actually doing what he said he'd do. Great quote!  Sure is a wonderful time!

Taxpayers will pay for the wall, and the voter fraud delusion investigation.
Put a 20% tariff on Mexico?  Then they raise prices on those items, and maybe
Add 20% on goods we send there. Lose/lose.

Some people need to step back and see the forest, quit being distracted by the trees.

Let take a look at Mexicos southern border and how they protect their country. What a concept

I said I'd call President Trump out when he does something I disagree with, so I'm calling him out. This is stupid.

I'd much rather see a hefty tax on remittance sent back to Mexico be used to fund the wall and other security measures, that way it'd be Mexico paying for it, and not us by extension.

Although, with his protectionist push of wanting to encourage US manufacturing I can understand why he'd want to take measures to discourage Mexican imports as well.
Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

He stated in his ABC News interview last night that ultimately Mexico will pay for it.

He stated that there were many different ways to make them pay.

He also stated that securing our borders was too important to wait.

I agree wholeheartedly with that.

I cannot understand why LIBERALS do NOTwant to see our borders secured.  :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

Simple. Current and more important, future voting bloc. I guarantee, if we see the "loyalty" of this voting bloc shift from the Democrats to the Republicans, the democrats will demand border closings and strict immigration laws and voter id laws. And the Gop would be ok with that.

American companies come back, build in this country, create a million(s) jobs or more that creates more tax revenue for the treasury and makes people that have been decimated by current trade agreements feel good for themselves and families.   That is a HUGE win win win.  Running a 60 billion trade deficit with Mexico makes no sense.   I see that forest very clearly and it is beautiful.

And Mexico charges that same 20 percent and on some goods much more on our products going over there right now, as do 160 countries that we trade with and we let there products in with no fees, taxes or tariffs.  But those are little trees -  right.

Open your toilet tank, if over 5 yrs old should say made in Mexico, newer ones possibly China.  Porcelain sink bowls also made in Mexico generaly. Taking a crapper could start getting expensive. Or may have to have outhouses again if Mexico starts refusing to make any more crappers. :cooldude:

Not sure this technology exists today, but skip the massive amounts of money on the wall and put up an invisible LINE that if you do hit it between mexico and us it will zap the living heck out of you and put you 6 feet under.  Sort of like a bug zapper that is invisible that once you hit it is a WALL that will not allow you to cross and ZAPS the life outta ya as well if you try.

Why cannot Trump afford it he has enough money right??

I may be wrong, but not many, if any, products I buy or have are made in mexico.  Fine with me if trump charges 20% taxation on imports coming from mexico, I can live without.  Maybe then mexico will charge the us 20% as well to export to mexico, then just stop doing it all together, we can live without sending items to mexico right??  It will hurt mexico I think far worse than the us.

Most of the things coming from Mexico and China are complete crap. Bring jobs back, start making quality items again, and tell Mexico to pound salt. If Mexico is so great! why do Mexicans keep trying to come to the US?

Here here for making them here again. I suspect the reason they went south was for environmental laws and restrictons. Requiring the firing of the ceramics. Got a little difficult with firing furnaces etc. There are a lot of electronic items  assembled in Mexico shipped back here also. In a somewhat ironic way. Mexico is already paying for the wall. Carrier, Ford,  and a number of other manufacturers changing minds and coming or staying here.   :cooldude:

Anyone ever hear of area 51?? Total baron waistland. Ever read the story's of people trying to get close to their facilities. Anyone approaching the area and appears a threat military guards ae there waiting at the perimeter. Watching. The place is littered with sensors and motion detectors cameras and alert them the minute anyone has breached or got to close. :)

ALL my regulators for my oxygen stuff the hoses cannulas swivels etc etc come from-china. AND the V A is picking up my tab for this so basically the U S of A in this instance IS supporting china. We could level the playing field quite easily and make a damn good start on balancing the budget. Whenever any country taxes American made products to enter their country we equal that tax plus 10% for their "stuff" to come here. When any country that has as a stated desire to eliminate the U S of  A Immediately STOP any funding from the U S of A. If a country is undecided tween us and russia-let russia pick up their full tab. Let russia pick up the tab? Are you effin crazy? Exactly.   Average price of labor in Mexico is $2.60/ hour.  It was Ross Perot that labeled this the race to the bottom.  To pit American high paid labor ( thus being able to afford a more affluent life style ) making quality goods against drastically lower paid workers of the world is economic suicide and we have seen this with drastically lower GDP growth in the last 17 years, especially the last 8.  This was all born of the CFR over 40 years ago, and something we would have never considered in times past.

I find nothing about slugging along at 1 to 2 percent GDP growth funny, not at all.  In this time of high tech we should be more closer to the average post war rate of 3 percent.  Bush 2 was at 2 percent, O less than 1.5 percent, both drastically behind the average.
