We always think our time is unique and there has never been situations like the ones we have today. But
If you look into history you may find some interesting comparisons. Like Immigration was at its lowest in the 1930s and 1940s. The 1930's was the time of the Great Depression, which made the United States a very unappealing place to move to. Not only was the United States in an economic decline, but many other countries were also struggling to get by. Jewish people had trouble immigrating to the United States in the 1930s and 1940s as well. Since the United States didn't want to be a target of Hitler's activities, it turned away mass Jew immigration. The St. Louis was a ship that carried 938 Jews, but was turned away when wanting to land in the United States. Some Jews managed to get into the U.S., usually small numbers legally or illegally smuggled. But of the 938 on that ship 246 more than likely died in the Holocaust.

Immigration by the Numbers -- Off the Charts

This video has been posted here before but the numbers quoted in this video by no means represent illegal immigration.

Below is the oath taken to be a US citizen, an oath not taken by illegals.

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

Robert,
I agree 100% with you.

I have been a member of www.numbersusa.com for years. They are a non partison group with no political ties other than the immigration stance. Their stance on immigration has nothing to do with race, but rather the issues that over population is doing to our country. Below is another great video that explains the pitfalls of our lax immigration laws, compounded by illegal immigration.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdHtrcXGYck

For years I have stated that any person that migrates to this country MUST be required to take the oath of allegiance to THIS country. Unfortunately, we are being used as a patsy, allowing the immigration without assimilation to our ways. They do not want to be US citizens, they want to be what they were, with all of the benefits of our welfare system.

Anyone else that feels this way should register with them and get set up on their Action Board, it automatically sends letters and fax's to the various politicians, sending hundreds of thousands of them monthly. Many in the Senate and Congress are starting to listen due to the large number of members, and the volume of messages sent out on the subject.

Thant's my soap box and I will never step off of it.

Jim

Back then the people that were coming to America were coming here to be an American.

They wanted the American dream for themselves and for their families.

They were willing to assimilate into the American way of life and were proud to become loyal American citizens.

It isn't that way anymore.

For starters, people that break our laws by coming here illegally are starting off by showing a flagrant disreguard for the rule of law in our land.

In my book that alone does not make them good citizenship material.

Escaping certain death because you are different ( pick one or more)
religion, color, etc   is one thing as 3fan said that person is more than willing to totally become one of the many who support our constitution and will die for it if necessary

Coming here to make us more like where they came from and showing contempt for those here, well that is another kettle of fish

Went to dinner yesterday with a nice couple who went earlier to a vigil with Rep Lowey and also marched in wash dc after trumps inauguration

Did not speak of politics..........it was difficult but was done to save the evening  Lets hope things smooth out

Its no secret many died because Roosevelt was an antisemite,
it was a different time he didnt love blacks either as the aristocracy he came from was after all the old boy network

It was a miracle from God that Truman became his VP and then Pres in time to drop the bomb, recognize Israel and integrate the military with Executive Order 9981.  IMHO our best 20th century leader
the buck stopped there

My hope is that the Lord will work a similar miracle with Trump in his time as POTUS.   Their names share the 1st 4 letters, coincidence or kismet?

Back then the people that were coming here, were coming here to be ALIVE. They embraced America because we gave them freedom, hope, and life. The few Jewish people that made it here illegally weren't showing a flagrant disregard for the rule of law. They were just trying to stay alive. The refugees that were coming here until last week, were coming here legally.

Yeah, legally under ridiculous or no vetting, and a reduced (meaningless oath) all set up by the Zero and his cronies.  We don't need them.  If we have the money, we can help them elsewhere, not here.

If the courts want to call this illegal discrimination, we can easily fix that.  Just put a hold on all immigration from everywhere for awhile.  Lets get our boarders secured, are border patrol and immigration people and rules back on track, the economy rolling again, take care of our veterans, and in a few years we can talk about immigration with proper vetting and proper oaths of allegiance again.  And if we find immigrants violating that oath, they should be deported.
