A small, wintertime, musical interlude.

I always liked his music, the guy was a total maniac. He was the one that basically started trashing hotel rooms on tours. I read once back when, he kept going to the room next door and did not have an adjoining door way to that room.  So he went a bought a chain saw and cut a doorway in the wall.

Got my hopes up to see Joe this summer with the Tom Petty 40th anniversary tourer.  Going price for weather protected seats price in Nobelsville, IN looks like 300 dollars/ticket - Holly Yikes, but our friends said lets go.

Joe has always been one of my favorites.  I have almost his entire catalog.  Saw the James Gang a few years back and he cracked a joke before playing Funk 49 (for the umpteenth time) that, if he'd known he would have to play that song so many times in his life, he would have written something else!

He would be on the Drew Carry Show from time to time as Drew's buddy ED, which he had the band as James Gang.  Also from time to time on one of our Rock radio channels, he would be guest DJ for the week, the guy would have me crying on the way home from work, I laughing so hard! He is quick thinking!

Back when people could actually sing. Theses days anyone can be an "artist" abeause of all the voice machines. I like older rock n roll.

Listen to his first album..it's called "Yer Album".
It is my favorite by far....especially his cover of Buffalo Springfield's "Bluebird".
Joe is an underrated musician.....sidetracked for awhile but after joining the Eagles he began to shine again as a true talent.

Now a days if a person doesn't sound like, them strangling a cat, everyone thinks they are a good singer.  You can sound OK, but be bored to death by them.  But on the other hand if you don't have a great voice, but apply it properly it can still be successful singer, not an adequate singer.  You got Bob Dillon, Janice Joplin, Fiona Apple, Joe Cocker and so on.

Great guitar player. He also did the guitar work on Richard Marx "Don't Mean Nothin' At All".
