Sorry if I missed it somewhere in another thread, just wondered how she is doing and continuing prayers for her and Carl.

The surgeon came in yesterday and we had a fairly detailed talk with him.  She will likely be released to come home within the next few days.  He had three goals to achieve before releasing her.  He wanted her diet accepted by her,her pain managed by pills rather than injections and IV, and her INR brought to the preferred level.  Two of those have been accomplished.

She has improved much in her emotional state but still sometimes gets frustrated and has spells of weeping.

The doctor expects it to take up to six months to dissolve the clots in her lung.  She doesn't like the idea of being limited for that long.

We have to remain in touch with what a blessing the hernia failure was as that resulted in the CT scan that discovered the blood clots in the lung before they became life threatening.

Silver linings.........   We never know when one is going to show up.   Continued best wishes for her improvement.   cooldude

Lori and Carl. I can only wish the best for the two of you. I know down time can be very frustrating.
I have been thru it and again on a medical time out. I am hyper active , but was told to cool it or never get better. As I rest , I will think of Lori and hope I can help mentally . angel    Lori , think of the future . Someone has to keep Carl in line.
