Just saw a post on another site that someone that had a motel room at The Phillips Motel is not going to be able to ride . The room is up top if you would like this room e-mail me and I can hook you up.It's for both nights ...friday 10-16 and saturday 10-17 ....  jojovols@comcast.net

Looking up at the summit of Devil's Courthouse from the overlook you can tell how it got it's name. The rough and rocky summit has a devilish appearance. There are many folklore tells from the Cherokee to early mountain settlers that says the devil holds court in a cave within the mountain. There is a trail from the parking area to the summit with an inspiring panoramic view into the distant landscapes. The panoramic views of Pisgah National Forest and even four states on clear days can be seen from the summit...North Carolina - South Carolina - Georgia - Tennessee.
