Baby boomers are the demographic group born during the post–World War II baby boom, approximately between the years 1946 and 1964. This includes people who are between 53 and 71 years old in 2017, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.[2] The term "baby boomer" is also used in a cultural context, so it is difficult to achieve broad consensus of a precise date definition.  Wiki

That's me, and I'm betting a lot of us.

I didn't vote.  I wish I was living the dream, but the liberals and free crap army have screwed the (American) dream up so bad it's hard to find it.

(Sorry for the politics Savago, but your choices started it)  Smiley

I will only shoot people in my yard, if they shoot first.   But I do have a big fence.

Retirement is definitely part of the dream.

Course Clint was born in 1930 (like mom and dad), and not a B Boomer.

No arguing with a Garand (though it's too old to be a boomer either).   cooldude

WAR BABY like me born in 43. The one thing that scared the crap out of me was seeing dive bombers practicing and thought they were going to bomb me.

Last year of the baby boomer generation. Haven't shot any one yet that was trespassing but came close since they were behind my pole barn at dusk looking in the window using a flashlight. I thought they were going to crap their pants from the look on their faces when I chambered a round in my 12 gauge. I did make them lay down in a puddle with arms and legs spread out till the police showed up. All the sheriffs and state troopers did was laugh at them when they complained.

Born the day the North Koreans crossed the 38th.  I think the range is too large.  Dad came home from WWII, got married and started raising kids.  Oldest brother was born in '46, then '48, Me and '51.  Most of my class in school had older brothers and sisters and the war boys were generally done bringing us in by by '55/'56.   I consider the '58 - '64 group as the children of the little brothers to young to go to war.  But I always liked a good argument, so have at it.
That would make me 67 this summer and still running hard.  Well, to those who know me, walking, and not real fast.
The dream is still here, it is just being ignored by many or circumvented by others, their loss.  Nothing taste as good as something you have earned by your own time, temperament and talent.

Almost 89 year old model.  I guess that I don't fit in anywhere.  Served in Korea and then we just raised a family and got along ok.

No protests, no nuttin' until later when I became a councilman in my town.

Wayne,
You might remember well my birthday. My Pop looked down at the crib and said "Thank you Son".. They called back a large portion of the crew of the Hornet, but he didn't have to go.  Kids + Farming, quite the deferment.

Born in 47. Was just telling a 22 year old employee the other day I think I grew up in the best of times. Way better than the kids have now.

Just turned 70 still working because I choose to ride when I want to and golf 3-4 times a week when it's warm enough.

I fit into the boomer category, born in 1950. For those of you that served our country in the military, thanks for doing so. I did not have to go to Nam, but some of my friends did, I got a job right out of high school, but was not a draft dodger. I would have gone if my number had come up. Even at that young age, I got pissed watching all the protesters showing disrespect for our guys over there giving their lives and limbs. Every time I think of what the Great Generation did for this country and the world, it is hard to believe that the liberals are pissing it all away.

I've not understood how a boomer could be born in 64, but, it doesn't make any difference I guess.

Regardless, ' I are one' , born near the beginning. I guess that officially makes me an old fart.

After the second great war (WWII), millions of young men (and women) returned home and made lives, marriages and babies.

Technically speaking we should be called Bangers, not Boomers.

I know, but, that still doesn't compute to me. I could understand maybe '55 but not '64. But, what the heck, they had to stop it somewhere.

Well, my dad was in WWll as many of the Greatest Generation. He ended his Naval hitch at Bikini Atoll observing the nuclear bomb tests just after the war. Told him years later that he was sterile because of it. A marriage to my mom in '57 and subsequent relations proved that the researchers were wrong....... Grin Grin.

Lol....good one.

I'm comfortably ensconced on the younger side of center, in '59.

I came across an article not too long ago when the question about cranky old men came up...apparently it's medically a thing....blame it on an enzyme and call it a day... Wink
