Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

Last night my wife was telling me about a Facebook post she was reading in which someone had asked (I think it was Smokin Joe) if anyone had seen Bruce, and someone else piped up that she had just fed him a Hotdog in Alabama. Well this got me to laughing and saying it’s like finding Waldo from the old Where’s Waldo books that my kids had.

So I thought about it and if our great riding friend Bruce has no objections, let’s start a new game called Where’s Bruce.  Smiley

The man that travels all over the place in the universe and is riding a Valkyrie cannot be too hard to find, right?  Shocked

Bruce is a traveling man, who sleeps when he can, his destination is unknown even to him until he arrives there.

He can’t be that hard to spot, at a red light, a stop sign, a motel, hotel, restaurant, gas station, bar, saloon, dancing a jig, giving a girl a whirl, drinking, smoking, stopping, shopping, or visiting friends. He is somewhere in this great country of ours.

So if you happen to see Bruce and Ali, sing out and let us know where, back on this post, I would love to see how often he actually gets spotted.

It can’t be that hard to spot our distance rider on his trusty steed Ali riding the plains, hills, mountains, deserts, forest, highways, by-ways, back road, dirt road, over hill, over dale, etc... Man I am running out of things that Bruce has ridden, as he and Ali have ridden most everything, from here to…….he’s still out there riding, so no clue where it will end.

Ride on my good friend and we hope to spot you on the road, share the wind and a few stories with you over a cold one. cooldude

How about for those who aren't too familiar with Bruce (like me), a picture of him, and a rider/bike picture also?

A great idea, actually sounds like fun. Bruce should chime in once in a while as to city/state he is in, and direction heading (maybe?).

Read his Timely Hug post a few down the page.  Might give you an idea where he is.

I would post a pic, if I had one, I know there are a few floating around here of Bruce, maybe someone will help out.
Again as long as Bruce does not mind..........  Wink

Wouldn't mind a bit! In fact, I'm deeply flattered... I love my life and the way things have turned out. I'm just an ordinary guy who's had a chance to live a rather extraordinary life... fate has indeed smiled most kindly upon this undeserving soul. Sharing tales of my good fortune with anyone who might be interested is a pleasure for me, as well, so... I do sincerely apologize about the pictures thing, though...

I'm not a photo journalist by any means, and worse... I'm just not technically savvy enough to have ever figured out how to post pics... I just ride around thinking, pondering, wondering... At the time, I rarely even think of taking a pic or of even writing anything... that usually comes later when I'm re-playing the 'tapes' in my head about recent events... It's just part of doing what I do and how I do it, I reckon...

By the way... I made the decision to ride back east the other day. I still have one more story from out there to post yet, but I'll have that edited and ready soon. In the meantime, I'm in Montgomery, AL, at the moment, but I'll be leaving for NC Sunday to visit my cousin/brother who recently had back surgery... He said he needs company re-introducing himself to beer therapy... Gotta help him out, ya know, he's a really good guy and worth the effort.

Thanks for thinking of me... Among the many wonderful features of my life is the chance meeting of so many wonderful people along the way! And, those in this organization truly fit in that category! Napper, too, shares my awe and euphoria at having had the chance to be included in such an amazing world! Just proud to be here!!!

Mark,

That was truly one of the most wonderful events in my entire life! As you know, the guy standing directly behind me, and whose face is mostly blocked by my cap in that photo, is Terry Nickel of Calgary, Alberta. He had rescued and repaired ALI, then rode her all the way to Asheville, NC, to give her back to me at the InZane that year... What a reunion! What a feeling!

She and I have now travelled more than 100K miles since that time, and she is still running strong... much stronger than her rider, I might add... Man, what an experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting this and for triggering that feeling all over again!

Just a little edit on my name ....... like Coca-cola..... I'm the "Real Thing" ....at least in the spelling  Cheesy !

Ha, I didn't even notice me in that picture till I read this and yes what a blast it was, to say the least.
Almost never fails when I'm with my riding buddies for a brew or two that Bruce' name will come up and the title of this thread will be asked. So out will come my phone and the stories will be told with each photo I have of not only him but the also the riding buddies with him and we always have a great laugh going over the good times.
