Most everyone here is or should be aware of the fact I went down in August of 2016.  crazy2 Comin upon 7 months ago.  Lips Sealed In that time since unloading I've had MAYBE 300 miles under my butt.  Embarrassed Reason I went down I literally ran out of Oxygen and the lights got turned off. SOOOO that leaves me NEEDING my concentrator in order to continue with my Passion-RIDING. I now realize-belatedly-that on most if not ALL times I git astraddle the Phatt Ghurl that in addition to my riding gear my concentrator now has dibbs on the bitch seat-PERMANTLY.  Roll Eyes I think/believe/hope that I finally have most if not all the "stuff" I need to git the ammo box modified for the concentrator. Also working on building my stamina back up. The body gits Very vindictive when NOT exercised like it should/needs to be exercised.  uglystupid2 So the concentrator goes in the back pack which goes on my back along with 2 20oz water bottles my phone and my sidearm. 2.2 miles take me abut an hour 35 hour 45 to 2 hours depending. Up hills down hills and level ground included. Add to this equation the Fact I reached 72 years of life. Wishin Now I had NEVER fired up that first smoke. Not a complaint but a look back at a VERY BAD decision on my part. I intend on cutting that time down and will attempt to keep y'all informed on my progress or lack thereof!  cooldude Have friends on this board and friends here in Southern Missouri that have given up their Motorcycles.  Lips Sealed I fer one ain't ready to give mine up. RIDE SAFE.

My Dad always told me "if there is a will there is a way". He had COPD also and I remember him being very weak and could not walk very far but he wouldn't let me help him mow the yard. He had a self propelled walk behind mower and he somehow fastened a piece of plywood to the top of the engine to sit on. He would mow and walk as far as he could and then sit down for a minute or so with the engine still running! He would work hard and get it done, took awhile, I watched him.

Bought him a riding mower but he only used it once.

I hope you find a way to do the things you have a mind to do. It sounds like you have the will, so you will most likely find the way. I hope to meet up with you somewhere and ride some time!  Firefighter

Dennis, good to hear you're not giving up on being active, it does make a difference. Some overall conditioning will make the old body use the O2 more efficiently, keep us posted on your successes.

Dennis keep doing what you're doing. Exercise as much as you can.

I got a little lazy and could tell. I started walking again and it's helped.

Yeah, cigarettes are bad.  I quit a long time ago  but my wife quit too late.
