Almost done with "Penny" a semi-neglected beauty I picked up out of Pennsylvania for short $$$.

All I need is a tail/stop/plate light bracket.  Just ordered a side mount off Amazon.

Decided to go without the rear fender for now, see how it goes.  Bad part is I have a gravel driveway, so I'm going to have to just idle out.  That tire looks like it's gonna pick up a lot of stuff.

Found these cheap mirrors with blinkers from across the Pacific.  Gave me the ability to take the OEM blinkers off.  I had the screen sitting around, doesn't really fit the "bobber" theme, but it was free and I'm a wuss, need a screen.

Had these Kury lights hanging around, so I put the red lenses in them and now their blinkers.

New sneakers, Dbl Darkside with a 404 reversed in the front and a G-max on the rear with metal stems.

Swapped the pumpkin with one I had, the original was not looking all that great.  Put a used U-joint in and the rear seems nice and tight, no play.

The baffled Cobras cleaned up nice with a lot of elbow grease.  Only issue is a little road rash the PO put on them, but it actually looks cool, like a battle scar Grin

Maybe next year I'll have em cut down.

Desmogged, changed to 38's, new float valves.  Progressive springs, new bushings, seals and fluid.  Rebuilt all three calipers and new pads.  Also De-oiled, the plumbing wasn't hooked up right and there was a crap load of old dirty oil on the engine top. tickedoff tickedoff

New straight(er) bars with new starter switch.  The PO couldn't afford a new OEM switch, so he wired in a aftermarket start switch.  Got rid of all that plus a bunch of blue led strips mounted all over.

She's got over 90K on her, but I don't think she's looked this good in a long time.

Gonna be my "rip around ride"

Can't wait for spring.

Hey RDKLL.  Yeah, yours was some inspiration for sure cooldude

I tried using just the front rear fender, but didn't like the look and don't want to cut it, not yet anyways.

Like the long pipe look on yours.

Tried to find those bars, but couldn't for less than $200.00. The one's I got were $20.00 and I just had to drill the holes for the switch housing.

Removed the crash bars, hope that don't bite me in the ash later Roll Eyes

She's a toy, I'll be modifying her for ever.

Hook you can buy a used front half of oem fender and cut it to whatever shape you please. Bonus is it will mount right to original points on support brackets. See mine here. This was before I took a grease pencil and rounded it off.

I used the front rear fender at first, but didn't like the look with the passenger seat I'm using.  I'm glad I'm able to use those seats sitting around, I put one to use several years ago on my GL1000 bobber.  Like I said, I'm going to go fender-less for a while.  I don't want to cut the original fender yet and considered getting a black one off ebay, seems like there's a ton of them there.

I gotta leave some work for next winter. Smiley

Also covers that side area in front of shock.
Used some black "Zip" tape there.  It's the tape used in construction to cover the butt joints of the "Zip" sheathing.  Strong, black, holds like no other tape and you can't see it, cause I cut the white logo out.
