So as to not participate in said hijacking, I started a new post to answer you. Lol As we know Valkyries don't leak oil. However, the key to successful indoor parking is cleanliness. Even when she comes in wet, no dirt drips off because there's no dirt. You gotta to clean under, behind and around everything, then she's fit to sleep indoors.

I think you missed ONE spot, just one though.... Do tell how you get the underside SO CLEAN?? I have tried 'somewhat' to clean where most do not clean and know I could never get the bike that clean ever. Then again, I have no way of getting my cycle in the house either... ???

My Valkyrie had 5k miles when I got it. Didn't look that clean. It's a funny story how the cleaning of the underbelly got started. Coming home one night I ran over a dead possum that was in the middle of the road. Do you have any idea what dead possum guts on a hot engine block smells like? Well I can tell you it isn't good! It took a couple hours of scrubbing and that was after a 10 hour motorcycle ride to get all the splatter off. When I was done, the underside looked like the picture at the top of this thread. It has not been that hard to keep it that way. A coat of wax every now and again and then a gentle wipe down when I do the rest of the bike.

Yep, mean green here but same results. They run better when they are clean don't you think? And they seem much happier sleeping in A/C and heat instead of a cold/hot damp shed.
