Does the Interstate front crash bar interchange with a standard? Same bar just brackets on one and not the other?

Yes, the brackets are there to mount the radiator pods. The I/S version also has an airscoop underneath, but the bar both mount the same on the bike.

The IS crash bars have poor chrome under the area where the pods mount. I don't know if it can be polished up.
