I have 2  similar with different markings.looks like a micro 30-30 case fired, 1 1/2 " long, neck dia. Sim. As a 30 cal. . 1 is marked 35 then little space and then a 1, opposite of these its marked 16. Looks like copper case.  Other case say #2  is stamped 71 and on the opposite side marked 16, the case I'm guessing is tin coated dark brown paint. I can tell they came from some kind of auto.

357 Sig and 400 Corbon also come to mind, but those cases are less than an inch long.

Serk, I hope you see this because I'll delete this tomarrow. You were right 7.62x39. I stopped at a place today that likes to sell assault type stuff. The case that looks like copper is brass. Thanks

The other hint you get from that shell is the polymer (clear) coating; most of that stuff is Eastern Block/Russian/Chinese in origin (or what used to be Eastern Block).

Ah, cool. I was close but a bit off. 7.62x39 is a low powered rifle round, 7.62 Tokarev is a pistol round, but both from the Eastern Bloc...

7.62x39 is the cartridge most SKS and AK47s fire.

7.62x39 on the left, 7.62 Tokarev on the right:

And as Jess says, that coating is common of com bloc ammo.

Think you mean 7.62X25. 7.62X39 is the round used in AK's
