I ordered same size studs and then went to Wal Mart and picked up a cheap vinyl repair kit because when the stud came out it tore the seat slightly. The repair kit actually work pretty good. The hardest part was getting the prongs to fold back in t secure the stud to the seat. I actually think they make a tool for that. Good luck. Raymond "Whooray" Hill

I have....the seat cover should either be stapled or riveted to the pan. I mark the area where the cover ends on the bottom of the pan and add a centering mark. I then removed the staples or rivets a couple of inche's in each direction from where the stud is gone.
Take your replacement and rotate it in the same place where the missing stud was but not to use the same holes the old one came out of. I used the end of my folded jack knife to bend the prongs over. Then whatever the cover was fastened with just re-fasten it using the same method and using your reference marks.

What Hooter said The first Ultimate I got (used) was plain, but for the price I pulled the cover off and ordered Nickle studs from Mustang, and did it myself in a couple hours... Looked like it was studded from the factory and matched my other studded parts. Black Dog

I've done what Hooter said, replaced more than a few studs a couple times. I bought the tool for it, makes it a lot easier to set them.
